Our client, a leading technology and software solutions provider, is seeking a Scrum Master / Project Manager to join their team on a contract basis. This role will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of strategic technology initiatives while championing Agile practices, coaching delivery teams, and ensuring projects remain on track. The ideal candidate combines hands-on Scrum facilitation with strong project and program management skills to manage timelines, budgets, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations while consistently delivering business value.
Core Responsibilities
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, and Backlog Refinement
- Coach delivery teams on Scrum, Kanban, Lean, SAFe, and broader Agile practices while promoting continuous improvement and accountability
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, budgets, resource allocations, and release plans across multiple workstreams
- Coordinate cross-functional teams across Product, Engineering, QA, Architecture, Operations, and business stakeholders to drive timely delivery
- Manage project scope, risks, issues, dependencies, impediments, and change requests while developing and executing mitigation plans
- Provide leadership with transparent reporting on project health, progress, risks, dependencies, KPIs, and key decisions
- Drive delivery excellence by monitoring velocity, burndown trends, release predictability, quality metrics, and deployment readiness
Required Skills/Experience (Must-Haves)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, Project Manager, Agile Project Manager, or Agile Program Manager
- Proven experience managing software development projects within Agile environments
- Strong expertise in Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, or other Agile methodologies and frameworks
- Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, or similar Agile project management tools
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), software development practices, and release management
- Excellent communication, facilitation, organizational, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills
Preferred Skills/Experience (Nice-to-Haves)
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), PMI-ACP, or SAFe certification
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Experience leading cloud technology, digital transformation, mobile, web, or enterprise platform initiatives
- Experience managing distributed, remote, or offshore development teams
- Experience coordinating vendors and third-party technology partners
- Experience establishing and tracking Agile delivery KPIs, including velocity, burndown, release predictability, and quality metrics
- Experience supporting continuous integration, deployment readiness, and modern software delivery practices

Compensation & Benefits
- Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $38.00 and $55.00 per hour. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
