Our Energy & Utilities client is seeking a Project Coordinator to support multiple operational and safety initiatives in San Diego. This role will support the site’s Voluntary Protection Program (VPP), inventory and materials coordination, and operational improvement initiatives within a utility environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in utility operations, material handling, and safety-focused environments, along with strong communication and organizational skills. This role requires someone detail-oriented who can work collaboratively with leadership teams and represent employees.

Our Energy & Utilities client is seeking a Project Coordinator to support multiple operational and safety initiatives in San Diego. This role will support the site’s Voluntary Protection Program (VPP), inventory and materials coordination, and operational improvement initiatives within a utility environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in utility operations, material handling, and safety-focused environments, along with strong communication and organizational skills. This role requires someone detail-oriented who can work collaboratively with leadership teams and represent employees.
Core Responsibilities
- Support multiple operational and project initiatives
- Coordinate VPP (Voluntary Protection Program) projects to help advance safety culture and awareness
- Partner with the VPP Project Manager and site leadership on safety initiatives
- Support inventory and material management activities
- Perform initial inventory assessments and assist with maintaining inventory processes and controls
- Schedule meetings, maintain documentation, update project plans, and support reporting activities
- Assist with information gathering, validations, presentations, communications, and training coordination
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and represented employees
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- 2+ years of experience in utility operations or related environment
- Familiarity with material handling and inventory processes
- Strong safety-first mindset and experience working within safety-focused cultures
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Visio, Excel, and Word
- Ability to work independently and within collaborative team environments

- Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $24.00 and $34.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
