IT Project Manager
Program, Project & Product Leadership
Chicago, IL, 60606
Contract
Ref.: 143472
Job Summary
Our client, a major U.S. airline, is looking for a Senior Program Manager to lead an enterprise-wide migration from TIBCO to the Solace messaging platform. It’s a 46 week contract, remote within the U.S., with Chicago-area candidates preferred and work aligned to Central time. This person will drive application teams through their migrations to the new platform, track migration status across teams, identify risks and build mitigation plans, and report progress to executive leadership and stakeholders until the legacy platform is decommissioned. They won’t perform the technical migration work themselves, but they need enough background in enterprise architecture, platform engineering, and DevOps to work credibly with engineering teams. We’re looking for someone who has personally owned and led a large-scale technology migration or platform implementation across multiple application teams and reported progress to executive leadership. Experience limited to project coordination, Scrum Master work, single-team project management, or business and marketing programs, or hands-on engineering experience without program ownership, is not a fit.
This position is W-2 only. We do not work with third-party firms or C2C arrangements for this role.
