Senior IT Project Manager

Job Summary
Our client, a leading global food and agriculture company, is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to join their team! This position is a 6-month contract with the potential to extend and is located in Wayzata, Minnesota. This role is hybrid, with onsite participation preferred approximately 2–3 days per week. The Senior IT Project Manager will support a large-scale plant technology modernization program focused on upgrading technology hardware across more than 1,000 plant locations. This position will provide project management support across approximately five active workstreams within a hybrid delivery model consisting of approximately 40% Agile pre-deployment architecture and solution development and 60% Waterfall-based hardware deployments.

Core Responsibilities

• Provide project management support across approximately five active workstreams within a large-scale plant technology modernization program
• Partner with workstream leads to define scope, deliverables, dependencies, timelines, task ownership, and completion expectations
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans and integrate workstream activities into a unified program roadmap
• Track milestones, forecasts, dependencies, risks, issues, and mitigation actions while maintaining accurate project documentation
• Coordinate activities across technical teams, business stakeholders, deployment groups, and external vendors
• Communicate project status, decisions, risks, and required actions while providing consultative guidance to workstream leads and stakeholders
• Support change management activities and establish practical, repeatable project processes within an evolving program environment

Required Skills/Experience (Must-Haves)

• 7+ years of dedicated project management experience
• Demonstrated experience managing complex projects with multiple concurrent workstreams
• Experience developing detailed project plans, defining deliverables, and tracking project execution
• Experience identifying and managing project risks, issues, dependencies, forecasts, and mitigation plans
• Ability to work effectively within both Agile and Waterfall delivery models
• Strong stakeholder management and written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to navigate competing priorities professionally
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and demonstrated ability to collaborate across internal teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors

Preferred Skills/Experience (Nice-to-Haves)

• Hands-on experience using JIRA for roadmap development, backlog management, or storyboarding
• Experience managing large-scale enterprise hardware deployments
• Experience supporting technology deployments across multiple physical locations
• Experience coordinating projects involving technical, operational, and vendor teams
• Experience supporting organizational change activities related to technology implementations

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $56.00 and $80.00 per hour. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums
