Our client, a leading provider in travel & hospitality, is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to join their team! This position is located Hybrid in Chicago, Illinois.
Direct day-to-day project execution utilizing Agile and Scrum methodologies to ensure predictable, high-quality sprint cycles. Core Responsibilities
- AI Leadership
- Provide expertise in Generative AI and agentic AI
- Guide design, validation, and integration of AI solutions into the IT environment
- Program Coordination and Governance
- Act as the primary liaison between the company and consultants
- Track milestones, manage risks, and ensure alignment with steering committees and working teams
- Direct day-to-day project execution utilizing Agile and Scrum methodologies to ensure predictable, high-quality sprint cycles
- Own the end-to-end tracking of critical project milestones and manage the governance of phased project funding, ensuring resource allocation aligns with budgetary guardrails and business justifications
- Data and Access Management
- Facilitate timely access to operational, scheduling, cost, and HR data
- Ensure compliance with InfoSec and sensitive data handling for AI model training and validation
- Resource Mobilization and Oversight
- Ensure SMEs and IT/data resources are available
- Validate deliverables such as fact bases, diagnostics, AI-enabled roadmaps, and PBS design
- Oversee integration into yjr systems
- Technology Strategy and Implementation
- Define and deliver IT strategic plans for AI adoption
- Direct research aligned with organizational goals
- Coordinate resources and timetables for AI pilots and deployments
- Risk, Compliance, and Continuity
- Verify AI application results via audits
- Preserve assets through disaster recovery and security controls
- Recommend IT and AI strategies and policies
- Financial and Quality Management
- Forecast IT and AI resource needs, prepare budgets, monitor variances, and enforce organizational standards
- Professional Development
- Stay current on AI and IT practices; contribute to team efforts and support enterprise AI adoption
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Management, Business Administration, or related discipline
- Agile/Scrum Delivery Experience: Proven ability to manage day-to-day project execution, lead sprint ceremonies, and unblock cross-functional technical teams
- Project Milestone & Phased Funding Tracking: Experience managing project governance tied to tight budgetary guardrails and phased seed funding gateways
- AI Fluency/Technical Liaison Capabilities: While hands-on coding isn't required, they must have a strong foundational understanding of Generative AI, RAG architectures, and dashboard analytics to successfully translate complex business logic into technical requirements
- Certifications: Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or PMP certification
- Contract/Logic Translation: Experience working with complex business rules, contract rules, or auditing systems (ideal for understanding the "Forensic Detection" aspect of the project)
- Stakeholder Management: Exceptional soft skills to act as a seamless liaison between business groups (such as Crew Operations or Finance) and Digital Technology engineering teams
- Experience in the IT industry, including development work, customer interaction, and AI solution delivery
- PMP Certification
- Preferred: Experience with AI/ML platforms, enterprise AI governance, and large-scale IT program management
- Location: Chicago, IL
- Schedule: Hybrid, 2-3x/week onsite
- Duration: 20 weeks, possibility to extend
- Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $55.00 and $60.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
