Job Summary
Our client, a leading Healthcare & Life Sciences provider, is seeking an Import Export Operations Specialist to join their team. You will manage import/export activities in compliance with U.S. and international regulations, company policies, and procedures. You will coordinate ocean, air, land, and rail shipments while working closely with freight forwarders, customs brokers, transportation partners, and internal stakeholders. You will ensure accurate and timely processing of orders and documentation, maintain audit-ready records, and support internal and external audits. You will serve as a key contact for international customers and partners, maintain SOPs, provide import/export training, and collaborate cross-functionally to improve processes and ensure ongoing regulatory compliance.

Our client, a leading Healthcare & Life Sciences provider, is seeking an Import Export Operations Specialist to join their team. You will manage import/export activities in compliance with U.S. and international regulations, company policies, and procedures. You will coordinate ocean, air, land, and rail shipments while working closely with freight forwarders, customs brokers, transportation partners, and internal stakeholders. You will ensure accurate and timely processing of orders and documentation, maintain audit-ready records, and support internal and external audits. You will serve as a key contact for international customers and partners, maintain SOPs, provide import/export training, and collaborate cross-functionally to improve processes and ensure ongoing regulatory compliance.
Core Responsibilities
- Responsible for handling complex global trade accounts/trade lanes
- Working knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and standards related to APHIS, Customs and Border Protection, USDA and other government agency laws and regulations
- Become Subject Matter Expert for assigned business units
- Perform other duties and participate in projects as needed
Required Skills/Experience (Must-Haves)
- BA/BS Degree and 3+ years' experience OR equivalent work experience (7+ years) in Business Administration, Logistics, Manufacturing, International Commerce in Import or Export
- Ability to read and write English with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience working in SAP or Global Trade system
- Must have the flexibility to work overtime when necessary
Preferred Skills/Experience (Nice-to-Haves)
- Strong project management and excellent analytical skills preferred
- Experience with agricultural and / or chemical products a plus
Work Environment
- Location: Oxnard, CA
- Hybrid 4 days a week
- Contract 12 months, potential to extend
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $20.00 and $29.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
