Associate AOG Sourcing Specialist
Job Summary
Our client, a leading airline company, is seeking an Associate AOG Sourcing Specialist to join a 24/7 Material Management team supporting the procurement, management, and delivery of aircraft parts, materials, equipment, and supplies. This role will process purchase, loan, and exchange orders for aircraft and engine parts, with a strong focus on AOG, DMI, scheduled maintenance, and other time-sensitive fleet requirements. The position will work closely with Maintenance, Engineering, Supply Chain, and external suppliers to secure parts, manage delivery commitments, evaluate supplier performance, and negotiate competitive pricing while ensuring compliance with company and FAA requirements.

Core Responsibilities
- Create and manage purchase, loan, and exchange orders for aircraft and engine parts supporting AOGs, DMIs, scheduled maintenance events, engineering orders, and other fleet requirements
- Coordinate internal and external parts shipments to ensure supplier commitments and required delivery dates are met
- Maintain accurate and detailed records for purchase orders, requisitions, parts, suppliers, and related transactions
- Serve as an AOG subject matter expert in recurring cross-functional meetings and provide updates and reports to internal stakeholders
- Act as a key point of contact between Maintenance, Engineering, Supply Chain, and other departments to communicate order status and resolve issues
- Work with Maintenance and Engineering teams to evaluate and select suppliers based on price, quality, service, availability, reliability, and customer support
- Expedite critical aircraft parts and work-stoppage orders with suppliers to ensure materials are delivered on time
- Monitor supplier performance, delivery commitments, order status, and invoice discrepancies
- Manage assigned commodity categories and support department and corporate Supply Chain priorities
- Review supplier quotes, conduct benchmarking, and negotiate cost reductions where appropriate
- Use ERP, e-commerce, and web-based procurement systems to process orders and analyze purchasing data
- Prepare purchasing reports and review summary invoices for accuracy, resolving discrepancies and ensuring payment terms are met
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Manage multiple time-sensitive priorities in a fast-paced operational environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Experience (Must-Haves)
- Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
- Strong analytical, process improvement, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities
- Strong financial awareness and understanding of the importance of cost-effective purchasing
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, operational environment with time-sensitive requirements
- Willingness to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and after-hours as needed
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business, ERP, or MRP systems
- Ability to understand technical documentation and use data and analysis to make purchasing recommendations
- Strong ethical standards and ability to handle confidential and business-sensitive information
- Ability to collaborate effectively with suppliers and cross-functional teams
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or Purchasing
- Previous airline, aviation, or MRO procurement experience
- Knowledge of aircraft parts, materials management, inventory control, and purchasing processes
- Understanding of accounting, finance, and AP/AR functions
- Experience procuring goods and services and managing supplier/vendor relationships
- Strong negotiation skills and experience achieving cost savings through quote analysis and benchmarking
- Lean or Six Sigma Green Belt certification
- Experience driving process improvements or serving as a change agent in complex, high-pressure environments
- Experience working with multiple suppliers and managing competing priorities in a constantly changing operational environment

Compensation & Benefits
- Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $24.00 and $35.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
