Our client, a leading airline industry provider, is seeking a UX Designer with strong Design Systems experience to join their team. This is a contract opportunity based in Fort Worth, TX, following a hybrid work model with three onsite days per week. This role sits within the User Experience Team under the Customer Experience Division, specifically the enterprise design system squad, and will help evolve and scale the organization's enterprise design system.

Our client, a leading airline industry provider, is seeking a UX Designer with strong Design Systems experience to join their team. This is a contract opportunity based in Fort Worth, TX, following a hybrid work model with three onsite days per week. This role sits within the User Experience Team under the Customer Experience Division, specifically the enterprise design system squad, and will help evolve and scale the organization's enterprise design system.
Core Responsibilities
- Design scalable component libraries, reusable patterns, and usage guidance, partnering closely with Product and Engineering teams to drive consistency and usability across digital products
- Work with a cross-functional team using Agile methodology to define user stories and UX deliverables, and collaborate with developers to implement solutions effectively and efficiently
- Develop conceptual diagrams, wireframes, visual mockups, and prototypes; maintain detailed specifications and design patterns
- Help modernize and scale how the design system operates by improving reusable workflows, enabling product-level patterns and extensions, and defining AI-ready design practices
- Advocate for the user, collaborating with business owners to develop features and flows aligned with user needs
- Present work in a clear and compelling manner to stakeholders, citing best practices, research data, or business requirements
- Provide timely status reporting on projects, including work remaining, issues, and risks
- Bachelor's degree in Human Computer Interaction, Human Factors Engineering, Computer Science, Visual Design, Library Sciences, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience/training
- 3+ years of experience as a UX practitioner with a background in user experience design, interaction design, or similar
- Design System ownership experience, including designing scalable component libraries and reusable patterns
- Advanced Figma design skills
- Experience with AI workflow implementation (e.g., Figma AI, design-to-code workflows, automation, or prompt-based systems)
- Experience working closely with developers from inception through implementation in an Agile environment
- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and current trends in web and app design
- Experience in responsive, adaptive, and accessible design
- 5+ years of experience as a UX practitioner
- Experience with Native iOS & Android design
- Experience within enterprise-scale design systems and familiarity with frontend implementation concepts
- UX/UI product design and UX research experience
- Executive presentation skills
- Portfolio and LinkedIn profile included with resume
- Systems thinking with strong organizational skills across complex flows and patterns
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines, product lines, roles, and time zones
- Strong analytical skills for complex data problems and sustainable design solutions
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders
- Curiosity and adaptability toward emerging AI-enabled design tooling
- Location: Fort Worth, TX (local candidates only)
- Hybrid: 3 days onsite per week
- Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $44.00 and $63.00 per hour. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
