Program Assistant III
Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Program Assistant III to support critical customer programs within a large-scale Wildfire Mitigation Program. This role is responsible for coordinating project activities, supporting customer engagement initiatives, maintaining program data and reporting, managing vendor relationships, and assisting with regulatory compliance efforts. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to impactful programs that support customer safety and resilience while gaining exposure to project and program management initiatives.
Contract Details
- Contract Duration: 52 Weeks
- Location: San Diego, CA
- Work Model: Hybrid
- One round of interviews with a possible second round for select finalists
- Opportunity for full-time conversion based on business needs and performance
- Supplier-provided laptop required
Core Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate small to medium-sized projects from planning through execution
- Develop, maintain, and track project plans, timelines, budgets, and deliverables
- Support customer engagement activities and respond to program-related inquiries
- Verify customer eligibility and maintain accurate program records
- Develop and maintain program documentation, procedures, handbooks, and implementation plans
- Support vendor and contractor coordination to ensure successful project execution
- Maintain and enhance program reporting and data management processes
- Analyze and track program performance metrics and prepare status reports
- Coordinate procurement activities for project-related materials and services
- Organize meetings, prepare agendas, and facilitate follow-up actions
- Assist with budget tracking, reporting, and administrative support functions
- Identify project risks and escalate issues to appropriate stakeholders
- Support training, outreach, and program-related events
Required Skills & Experience (Must-Haves)
- Bachelor's degree required
- 5+ years of relevant program coordination, project support, or project management experience
- Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving abilities
- Experience with data tracking, reporting, and database management
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and organizational levels
- Experience tracking project milestones, deliverables, and performance metrics
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Preferred Skills & Experience (Nice-to-Haves)
- Experience supporting regulated utility, energy, environmental, or customer-facing programs
- Experience coordinating vendors, consultants, and external partners
- Familiarity with compliance or regulatory reporting requirements
- Experience developing program documentation, procedures, or operational materials
- Customer service or stakeholder engagement experience

Compensation & Benefits
- Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $31.00 and $45.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
