Our client is seeking a FP&A Analyst to join a leading enterprise organization in Greenwood Village, Colorado. This role is ideal for a finance professional who bridges the gap between traditional corporate finance and data analytics, possessing a strong blend of financial planning & analysis (FP&A), complex financial modeling, core accounting knowledge, and robust SQL data manipulation skills. The analyst will support a high-volume environment, partnering with business leaders to build predictive models, query large data sets, manage operating and capital expenditures, perform variance analysis, and drive forecasting and budgeting activities. Our client is seeking a FP&A Analyst to join a leading enterprise organization in Greenwood Village, Colorado. This role is ideal for a finance professional who bridges the gap between traditional corporate finance and data analytics, possessing a strong blend of financial planning & analysis (FP&A), complex financial modeling, core accounting knowledge, and robust SQL data manipulation skills. The analyst will support a high-volume environment, partnering with business leaders to build predictive models, query large data sets, manage operating and capital expenditures, perform variance analysis, and drive forecasting and budgeting activities. Key Details
- Location: Greenwood Village, CO
- Work Arrangement: Hybrid – 4 days onsite per week; 1 flexible work-from-home day
- Employment Type: Contract
- Develop, maintain, and automate financial forecasts, budgets, and long-range strategic operating plans
- Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze large financial datasets from data warehouses to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
- Build, audit, and maintain complex, dynamic financial models (DCF, three-statement, scenario analysis) to support strategic business initiatives
- Analyze and reconcile accounts while preparing detailed variance reports and supporting commentary comparing actuals to budget/forecast
- Partner with business leaders and managers to provide data-driven financial insights and strategic recommendations
- Support month-end close processes, tracking accruals, and collaborating with accounting on journal entry-related activities
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, Business, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, accounting, or a corporate finance function
- Strong proficiency in Excel (XLOOKUPS, Financial Modeling) writing SQL queries (e.g., JOINs, CTEs, window functions) for financial data extraction and analysis
- Proven experience building advanced financial models from scratch (Three-Statement, Scenario/Sensitivity Analysis)
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and corporate financial planning processes
- Experience with Essbase, Smart View, or similar OLAP tools within Excel
- Experience supporting large enterprise organizations with complex data infrastructures
- Exposure to BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) for visualizing financial data
- Exposure to ERP, procurement, or financial management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
- Proactive self-starter who takes initiative and ownership
- Naturally curious and motivated to understand the "why" behind financial results
- Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset
- Comfortable interacting with business partners and leadership teams
- Detail-oriented with the ability to balance accuracy and speed in a fast-paced environment
- Location: Greenwood Village, CO
- 4 days in-office, 1 day remote
- Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $85,000 and $94,000 ($45 - $50/hour). Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
