Our client is seeking a Senior Manager, Medical Affairs Communications to join their team. The successful candidate will drive the communication strategy and scientific data dissemination for the therapeutic portfolio, overseeing medical response documents, leading promotional review boards, and training cross-functional teams.
Core Responsibilities
- Author, review, and disseminate standardized response letters and scientific FAQs regarding biological and pharmacological product portfolios
- Serve as the core Medical Affairs representative on the Promotional Review Team (PRT) to critique advertising, promotional, and sales training materials for scientific accuracy and regulatory compliance
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, Legal, Compliance, and Drug Safety teams to integrate data-driven medical insights into standard corporate communication roadmaps
- Coordinate the strategic planning, medical layout, and execution of Medical Affairs booths at key scientific congresses and clinical conferences
- Design and build comprehensive clinical training curricula and medical educational assets for Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs), internal customer care, and field sales teams
- Analyze utilization reports from Medical Communications channels to extract, report, and present clinical communication trends to executive leadership
- Advanced degree required (PharmD, MD, or PhD) paired with pharmaceutical or medical device industry experience, or an equivalent clinical background
- Proven ability to read, interpret, synthesize, and translate complex peer-reviewed medical publications into balanced communication assets
- Hands-on professional background working inside medical information services, drug information centers, or a corporate medical communications division
- Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate effectively across internal departments (Commercial, Legal, Clinical Operations)
- Polished verbal and written communication skills optimized for presenting clinical data to diverse internal audiences and external healthcare professionals (HCPs)
- 2+ years of dedicated professional experience inside a pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device manufacturer
- Prior experience supporting the regulatory approval, launch, and initial market rollout of a drug or healthcare asset
- Practical experience developing educational training structures and maintaining centralized medical communication repository systems
- Background evaluating medical education grant proposals and reviewing field-team promotional slide decks
- Prior experience managing project budgets or leading small medical communications project workstreams
- Maintains an uncompromising focus on clinical accuracy, ensuring all text aligns strictly with evidence-based consensus guidelines
- Navigates changing regulatory landscapes and handles sensitive medical inquiries with diplomatic composure
- Evaluates metrics, interaction reports, and data trends to proactively shape future strategic communications

- Pay Range: The approximate pay rate for this position is between $52.00 and $75.00 per hour. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
