Financial Analyst
Job Summary
Our client, a leading energy and utilities provider, is seeking a Financial Analyst to join its team. This position will support accounting, financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting activities across assigned regional districts.

Core Responsibilities
- Analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts, financial reports, and supporting documentation
- Prepare journal entries and support month-end close activities
- Track and analyze O&M and capital expenditures
- Prepare variance reports and explain differences between actual results, forecasts, and budgets
- Assist with financial forecasts, operating plans, and annual budgets
- Provide daily financial support for an assigned district and contribute to monthly district reporting
- Research financial discrepancies and collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve issues
Required Skills/Experience (Must-Haves)
- 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or a related role
- Strong understanding of accounting and finance principles
- Experience with general ledger activity, journal entries, and account reconciliations
- Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Experience analyzing O&M and capital expenditures
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and lookup functions
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
Preferred Skills/Experience (Nice-to-Haves)
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
- Financial experience within the utility, energy, or another highly regulated industry
- Experience working within a large enterprise organization
- Experience supporting multiple business units, regions, or operating districts
- Working knowledge of enterprise financial management or ERP applications
- Experience supporting month-end close and financial reporting processes

Compensation & Benefits
- Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $23.00 and $34.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good-faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
