Our client is seeking a Product Knowledge Manager (Product Content) to join their team! This position is located in Chicago, Illinois
Core Responsibilities
- Create and maintain product documentation, implementation guides, user guides, knowledge articles, FAQs, and customer-facing content
- Develop developer documentation, including implementation workflows, API documentation, and technical use cases
- Produce product enablement materials such as one-pagers, product overviews, sales collateral, and success stories
- Ensure documentation is accurate, consistent, and aligned with product updates
- Establish documentation standards, templates, and best practices
- Build scalable content frameworks that improve consistency and reusability
- Organize content with a strong focus on user experience and information architecture
- Continuously improve documentation quality and accessibility
- Partner with Product Managers, Engineering, SMEs, and client-facing teams to gather information and develop documentation
- Support product launches by delivering high-quality content for internal and external audiences
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, user-friendly documentation
- Coordinate with external vendors and review documentation for quality and accuracy
- Maintain documentation repositories and ensure content remains current and well-governed
- Identify opportunities to improve documentation processes through AI, automation, and knowledge management tools
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience creating technical, product, or developer documentation
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Experience creating customer-facing and internal product documentation
- Strong experience writing:
- Product documentation
- Technical documentation
- User guides
- Implementation guides
- Knowledge base articles
- Product training materials
- Experience partnering with Product Management, Engineering, and cross-functional stakeholders
- Ability to simplify complex technical concepts for multiple audiences
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Self-starter who takes initiative and ownership of work
- Comfortable influencing stakeholders without direct authority
- Experience within one or more of the following industries: FinTech, Payments Banking, Financial Services or Enterprise Software
- Experience supporting products involving: Digital Payments, Authentication, Tokenization, Transaction Risk, Fraud Prevention, Compliance, KYC, Payment Processing
- Outstanding written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders
- Excellent interviewing and information-gathering skills
- Strategic mindset with the ability to improve documentation processes
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
- Comfortable working in fast-paced product organizations
- Ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously
- Highly collaborative and proactive
- Location: Chicago, IL
- Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $39.00 and 56.00 per hour. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
