Our client, a leading financial services provider, is seeking a Senior Product Manager Lead to join their hybrid team in McLean, Richmond, or NYC.

- Improve system scalability and maintainability
Core Responsibilities
- Define and own the product roadmap in partnership with tech leads
- Identify gaps, propose solutions, and drive continuous improvements
- Focus on forward-looking platform capabilities for trading desks
- Manage product backlogs and sprint cycles
- Collaborate closely with engineering and business stakeholders
- Act as the primary point of contact (POC) for requests and escalations across business teams
- Ensure solutions support auditable risk mitigation practices
- Oversee regulatory reporting improvements
- Identify next steps and enhancements in risk workflows
- Collaborating closely with business and engineering stakeholders to surface requirements and align on expectations
- Partnering with the tech lead to define and own the product roadmap, translating engineering input and stakeholder pain points into a prioritized plan
- Breaking down opportunity areas — upstream data quality, model risk testing, reporting UX, and code modernization — into epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Driving day-to-day backlog prioritization and sprint ceremonies alongside the engineering team
- Identifying and closing gaps in automation, compliance readiness, and platform standardization as the migration completes
- Serving as the primary point of contact for requests and escalations, managing communication and expectation-setting across business partners
- 8+ years of experience (8 years minimum, no exceptions)
- Strong background in: Product management and Risk (market/liquidity/capital)
- Product Management expertise: roadmap ownership, backlog management, delivery execution
- Experience working closely with engineering teams
- Familiarity with tools: Jira, Confluence, Microsoft PowerPoint / Word
- Experience designing auditable risk mitigation solutions
- Experience with regulatory reporting environments
- Experience within financial services, insurance, banking, or other highly regulated industries strongly preferred
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a bias toward action
- Solution-focused: identifies problems and brings options, not just issues
- Strong stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills
- Comfortable operating independently in fast-moving, high-pressure environments
- Confident communicating with and presenting to senior executives
- Location: McLean, VA; , Richmond, VA; or NYC
- Hybrid, 3 days a week onsite
- Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $75.00 and $90.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
