Job Summary:
Our technology client is looking for a Project Manager (AI / Use Case) to drive internal AI initiatives on a 6-month contract, onsite in Seattle, WA. This role centers on identifying high-value AI opportunities across the organization, translating business problems into structured use cases, and owning them through the full lifecycle from discovery to deployment. Alongside core project management (work breakdown structures, timelines, risk, stakeholder coordination), the role carries a heavy change management and ROI component, guiding teams through AI adoption and making the financial case to leadership. The right candidate brings 7+ years of project management experience, genuine hands-on AI literacy (building agents, working with models, establishing guardrails), and the business acumen to develop business cases and prove ROI. They can operate independently in an experimental environment.

Core Responsibilities
- Surface, articulate, and evaluate viable AI opportunities across the organization
- Translate business pain points into structured technical use cases
- Own, track, and manage the full lifecycle of AI use cases from discovery through deployment
- Build comprehensive work breakdown structures (WBS) and maintain rigorous project plans
- Manage timelines, mitigate project risks, and keep diverse stakeholders aligned
- Lead change management and adoption conversations while maintaining high-trust relationships across teams
- Develop business cases with stakeholders, define clear outcomes and KPIs, and drive ongoing ROI dialogue
- Identify and address data quality and hygiene issues impacting specific AI use cases
- Coordinate and manage custom-built or lightly engineered internal tools and applications, ensuring guardrails are met for safe and responsible AI deployment
- 8+ years of project management experience with a strong foundation in project frameworks, WBS development, timeline management, and complex stakeholder coordination
- Able to operate independently from day one with minimal oversight
- Hands-on AI literacy: practical understanding of building autonomous agents, working with models, and establishing guardrails
- Strong project management fundamentals: frameworks, WBS, timeline management, complex logistics
- High emotional intelligence: exceptional communication and negotiation, proven ability to navigate change resistance and manage stakeholder expectations
- Business acumen: demonstrated experience evaluating financial outcomes, proving ROI, and managing investment conversations with leadership
- Technical adaptability: comfort managing rapidly prototyped, custom, or lightly engineered internal applications
- Data-centric mindset: sharp eye for data quality and hygiene issues as they relate to deploying successful business solutions
- Local to Seattle, WA and able to commute onsite
- Hands-on experience building or guiding the build of autonomous AI agents
- Experience standing up AI governance or responsible-AI guardrails
- Background managing AI or emerging-technology projects from concept through deployment
- Experience working in early-stage or experimental program environments
- Familiarity with common project management and collaboration tools (Jira, Smartsheet, Confluence)
- Change management certification or formal change management framework experience
- Genuinely hands-on with AI, can speak to agents, models, and guardrails rather than just coordinating from a distance
- Operates independently and brings structure to ambiguous, fast-moving work
- Strong communicator who navigates change resistance and keeps stakeholders aligned
- Flexes between business and technical thinking
- Business-minded, comfortable proving ROI and leading investment conversations with leadership
- Comfortable in an experimental environment with rough, custom-built internal tools
- Sharp eye for data quality

- Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $68.00 and $77.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
