Job Summary
Our utility client is seeking a Specialized Financial Analyst Project Manager to provide hands-on execution, analytical, and governance support to Technology Investment and Vendor Management initiatives. The contingent worker will partner closely with IT, Finance, PMO, Supply Management, Regulatory, and business stakeholders to maintain continuity of portfolio execution, financial visibility, and decision support. The work emphasizes data-driven insights, cross-functional coordination, and executive-level communication to enable effective delivery of technology and vendor-related priorities.
This position is W-2 only. We do not work with third-party firms or C2C arrangements for this role.

Our utility client is seeking a Specialized Financial Analyst Project Manager to provide hands-on execution, analytical, and governance support to Technology Investment and Vendor Management initiatives. The contingent worker will partner closely with IT, Finance, PMO, Supply Management, Regulatory, and business stakeholders to maintain continuity of portfolio execution, financial visibility, and decision support. Core Responsibilities
- Provide financial and investment visibility through tracking of funding, spend, forecasts, variances, and remaining balances across assigned initiatives
- Develop and maintain performance metrics, KPIs, dashboards, and analytical reporting to support leadership decision making
- Support governance processes, approval workflows, and cross-enterprise initiatives by coordinating inputs, validating data, and preparing materials for review forums
- Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, translating findings into clear insights and actionable recommendations
- Support governance and business case approval processes
- Assist with capital budget tracking and forecasting
- Pull/report financial data from TM1 into Excel and Power BI dashboards
- Prepare leadership reporting and ad hoc financial analysis
- Track budget adjustments and year-end forecasting activities
- Analyze and track vendor investment funding
- Validate financial data accuracy and reporting
- Support governance and recurring leadership reporting cycles
- Assist with KPI, metrics, contract, and stakeholder reporting requests
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- Strong Excel skills
- Must work PST hours
- Hands on experience as a Financial Analyst
- Power BI experience
- Budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, reporting, or governance support experience
- PM/program coordination experience
- Strong presentation skills
- Ability to support governance processes and cross-functional coordination efforts
- TM1 experience
- IT industry experience
- Governance or portfolio support experience
- Experience supporting capital budgets, reporting, KPIs, or executive dashboards
- Strong financial acumen with analytical ownership
- Ability to interpret, question, and validate financial and operational inputs
- Ability to independently drive work forward across cross-functional teams
- Organized and proactive approach
- Ability to operate with a high degree of ownership
- Ability to navigate ambiguity
- Clear, structured executive communication
- Ability to translate complex data into concise, leadership-ready outputs
- Location: Remote
- Must support PST working hours
- Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM PST with one-hour lunch break
- Team Size: Approximately 2–4 core team members across TIO and VMO
- Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is up to $41.00/hour. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
