Our client is seeking a Project Manager II to join their leading financial services organization in New York City. This individual will support a high-visibility HR transformation and M&A integration initiative, leading critical workstreams focused on Compensation, Benefits, HR operations, and an upcoming HRIS integration. The ideal candidate is a highly organized project management professional who can balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution, driving momentum across multiple stakeholders and complex initiatives.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead project planning, execution, and governance activities across Compensation, Benefits, and HR workstreams
- Develop and maintain project plans, status reports, risk logs, issue trackers, and reporting dashboards
- Facilitate project meetings, working sessions, leadership updates, and stakeholder discussions
- Identify project risks, dependencies, and roadblocks while partnering with stakeholders to drive resolution
- Create project deliverables including summaries, process flows, diagrams, presentations, and tracking tools
- Coordinate benefit program implementation activities involving technology teams, HRIS, vendors, and business partners
- Support HRIS integration and acquisition-related initiatives through requirements gathering, workshop coordination, testing support, and issue management
- Ensure alignment and communication across HR, Finance, Technology, and business stakeholders
- Translate leadership priorities into actionable project plans and execution strategies
- Provide operational support to keep critical HR initiatives progressing on schedule
- 3+ years of project and/or program management experience
- Experience managing project plans, stakeholder communications, status reporting, and risk mitigation activities
- Proven ability to quickly ramp up on complex, high-profile initiatives and drive execution
- Strong Excel skills, including experience with pivot tables and data analysis
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with competing deadlines
- Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience creating project artifacts such as process documentation, executive summaries, presentations, and workflow diagrams
- Ability to balance strategic planning with tactical execution
- Experience supporting Total Rewards, Compensation, Benefits, or HR-related initiatives
- Experience with HRIS implementations, HR transformation programs, or M&A integrations
- Knowledge of benefits programs such as 401(k), health and wellness plans, incentive compensation, deferred compensation, and related HR processes
- Familiarity with technology integrations, data feeds, and cross-functional project environments
- Financial services industry experience
- Strong project leadership and organizational capabilities

- Six-month contract with strong potential for extension
- Fast-paced, high-visibility environment supporting strategic HR transformation initiatives
- Opportunity to work closely with senior HR leadership and cross-functional business teams
- Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $46.00 and $66.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
