Job Summary
Our client, a leading global airline, is seeking an IT Project Manager to join their team. Are you a strategic thinker with a knack for managing complex IT projects? Our client is looking for a strong IT Project Manager to spearhead critical technological initiatives that shape their organization’s future. This PM will be supporting Cyber Defense projects and remediation efforts. Anything from implementation of new technology or technology enhancements. And remediation efforts to strengthen security posture; results from assessments, incident lesson learned and tabletop and even critical incident from external companies. A lot of new projects have AI capabilities.

Contract Details
- Mid-Level (5–8 years of experience)
- Extension Potential: Possibility to extend to a multi-year contract
- Conversion Potential: No guarantees for conversion to FTE at this time, but there is a possibility based on performance
Core Responsibilities
- Responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and successful delivery of cybersecurity initiatives
- Develop and define project scope, objectives, and plans to meet cybersecurity goals
- Communicate consistently with stakeholders to ensure alignment and gather feedback
- Allocate and manage resources effectively, coordinating with cross-functional teams
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to cyber threats and project challenges
- Track project progress and provide regular status updates to stakeholders
- Manage scope changes and document all modifications to project plans
- Ensure all outputs meet quality standards and compliance requirements
- Incorporate lessons learned and promote best practices in cybersecurity
- Collaborate with teams to integrate findings from incidents into project strategies
- Support the development of training programs to enhance staff awareness of cybersecurity protocols
- Ensure comprehensive protection against cyber threats while facilitating timely remediation efforts.
- Maintain organization's effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans for implementing information technologies
- Direct technological research by studying organization goals, strategies, practices, and user projects
- Complete projects by coordinating resources and timetables with user departments and data center
- Verifie application results by conducting system audits of technologies implemented
- Preserve assets by implementing disaster recovery and back-up procedures and information security and control structures
- Recommend information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements
- Accomplish financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective action
- Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by staying current on state-of-the-art practices
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Degree in Computer Science, Business Management, Business Administration, or other related discipline
- PMP Certification
- Cybersecurity project experience (not just general IT projects)
- Experience managing security remediation initiatives
- Cybersecurity Domain Knowledge – Understanding of security concepts such as incident response, vulnerability management, cyber defense, security controls, and risk mitigation.
- Experience in the IT industry, including development work and customer interaction
- Ability to work multiple projects
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strategic planning and risk management.
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Commitment to maintaining professional and technical knowledge.
- Location: Remote, with some requirement to be in the office as needed
- Work Arrangement: Remote with onsite presence as needed
- Preferred Working Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CT
- Travel: 10%
- Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $50.00 and $66.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
