Data Engineer

Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Data Engineer to support the design, development, and optimization of large-scale data platforms and analytics solutions. This role will focus on building scalable data pipelines, managing cloud-based data infrastructure, and enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Python, SQL, AWS, big data technologies, and modern data warehousing platforms. 

This position is W-2 only. We do not work with third-party firms or C2C arrangements for this role

Contract Details

• Duration: 6+ Month Contract (Opportunity for Extension)
• Location: Plano, TX (Preferred) | Remote Considered

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes
• Build and optimize data solutions using Python and SQL
• Develop and manage cloud-based data architecture within AWS environments
• Work with big data technologies including Spark, Hadoop, and Kafka
• Design and maintain data models, data lakes, and data warehouses
• Utilize Databricks, Snowflake, and Redshift to support analytics and reporting initiatives
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver data solutions
• Monitor data quality, performance, and reliability across platforms
• Implement best practices for data governance, security, and scalability

Required Skills & Experience (Must-Haves)

• Previous Financial Services industry experience
• 5+ years of Data Engineering experience
• Strong programming experience with Python
• Advanced SQL development and query optimization skills
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services
• Experience with Spark, Hadoop, and/or Kafka
• Experience working with Databricks, Snowflake, and Redshift
• Experience building and supporting large-scale data pipelines
• Strong understanding of data warehousing and data architecture principles
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Skills & Experience (Nice-to-Haves)

• Experience supporting enterprise-scale data platforms
• Knowledge of real-time and streaming data architectures
• Experience with data governance and data quality frameworks
• Experience working in Agile environments
• Financial services industry experience

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $52.00 and $75.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
