Network Engineer
Job Summary
Our client, a leading airline industry provider, is seeking a Network Engineer to join their Global Network Delivery team, based in Fort Worth, TX. In this role, you will write and engineer network device configuration scripts, implement network changes during designated change windows (after hours), and design complex network systems that meet the objectives of the business.
Core Responsibilities
- Write and engineer network device configuration scripts with associated change documentation to meet project goals and deadlines
- Implement network changes during appropriate change windows (after hours)
- Create detailed network designs (physical and logical) for complex network systems that meet customer requirements and business objectives
- Review and provide feedback on change documentation and engineering work from other engineers
- Establish processes to test applications and devices before planned network deployment, quantifying performance and recommending optimization steps
- Serve as second-tier support for the network operations team and participate in an on-call support escalation rotation
- Manage small to medium internal data network projects, translating business needs into actionable deliverables
Required Skills/Experience (Must-Haves)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
- 5+ years of experience designing, developing, and implementing large-scale solutions in production environments
- Senior-level network engineering experience with Fortinet Firewalls
- Automation skills applied to network infrastructure
- Experience with Microsoft Azure Networking
Preferred Skills/Experience (Nice-to-Haves)
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- Routing and Switching experience
- Palo Alto Firewalls experience
- Airline industry experience

- Work Model: Onsite, with after-hours change window and on-call participation required
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $32.00 and $46.00 per hour. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
