Our client a leading retail & consumer goods provider is seeking a IT Project Manager, Logistics Technology & Automation to join their team! This position is remote.
We are looking for a strategic and technical IT Project Manager to lead the implementation and optimization of the logistics technology stack for our client. This role sits at the intersection of Transportation Management Systems (TMS), global system Integrations, and the deployment of AI/Automation to drive operational excellence. You won't just be managing timelines; you will be the architect of a digital supply chain, ensuring that data flows seamlessly from customer portals to carrier networks. This role will require domestic travel as needed.

We are looking for a strategic and technical IT Project Manager to lead the implementation and optimization of the logistics technology stack for our client. This role sits at the intersection of Transportation Management Systems (TMS), global system Integrations, and the deployment of AI/Automation to drive operational excellence. You won't just be managing timelines; you will be the architect of a digital supply chain, ensuring that data flows seamlessly from customer portals to carrier networks. This role will require domestic travel as needed.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead the full lifecycle of complex IT projects, from initial scoping and vendor selection to Go-Live and hyper-care
- Oversee the deployment or upgrade of TMS platforms (e.g., Cargo wise & World track), ensuring alignment with global logistics strategies
- Manage the technical roadmap for connecting internal ERPs/WMS with external carrier networks via EDI, API, and iPaaS solutions
- Identify and execute projects involving Machine Learning for predictive ETAs, route optimization, and RPA (Robotic Process Automation) for back-office freight auditing
- Navigate relationships between C-suite executives, third-party software vendors, and offshore development teams
- Identify technical debt or integration bottlenecks that could delay shipments or impact data integrity
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or Supply Chain
- 7+ years of IT Project Management experience
- 3+ years specifically in Logistics, Supply Chain, or 3PL environments
- Proven track record managing TMS modules (Planning, Execution, Settlement) and Visibility Platforms such as: project44 and FourKites
- Familiarity with middleware (MuleSoft, Boomi) and data standards like JSON, XML, and EDI (204, 214, 210, 990)
- Experience delivering projects involving document digitization or AI-driven demand forecasting models
- Expert in Agile/Scrum for software development and Waterfall for large-scale rollouts
- PMP or Prince2 certification is highly preferred
- CSM (Certified Scrum Master) is a plus
- Ability to translate logistics operational needs into a technical project plan involving automated carrier selection and rate shop logic
- Fluent in "Developer" and "Dispatcher"—you can explain API latency to a stakeholder and business logic to a coder

- Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $150,000 and $170,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
