Senior Advisor (IT Network Development)
Job Summary
Our client, a leading technology company, is seeking a Senior Advisor (IT Network Development) to design, implement, and support complex global enterprise network infrastructure across data center and campus environments. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Cisco, Dell, Arista, or Juniper platforms, along with hands-on expertise in Python, Ansible, REST APIs, and network programmability. This position will also provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, work with cross-functional teams and vendors, and help drive the design and implementation of scalable, secure network solutions.
This position is W-2 only. We do not work with third-party firms or C2C arrangements for this role.
Core Responsibilities
- Define network business requirements and develop global network strategies aligned with current and future business needs
- Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable enterprise network infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, Layer 2/Layer 3 switching, wireless networks, and messaging platforms
- Evaluate, test, recommend, deploy, and support network hardware, software, operating systems, upgrades, patches, and communication technologies
- Manage network performance, availability, reliability, and security by proactively identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving complex technical issues and conducting root cause analysis
- Develop and implement network automation, scripting, and orchestration solutions to improve operational efficiency, provisioning, configuration management, and troubleshooting processes
- Coordinate with vendors, service providers, and cross-functional teams to procure, integrate, deploy, and optimize network solutions and services
- Research emerging technologies, assess business impact, and provide recommendations for innovation, infrastructure improvements, and future-state roadmaps
- Schedule, coordinate, and oversee network installations, maintenance activities, upgrades, and change management processes while ensuring system compatibility and operational stability
- Provide technical leadership, consultation, and support to stakeholders, customers, and project teams, including technical reviews, operational studies, and solution design guidance
- Develop, maintain, and communicate network documentation, diagrams, operational procedures, reports, and system health updates to leadership and key stakeholders
- Support project implementation, incident response, continuous improvement initiatives, and enterprise network modernization efforts
- Analyze and optimize messaging, wireless, and communication solutions to ensure efficient, secure, and reliable service delivery
Required Skills/Experience (Must-Haves)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of network engineering experience
- Strong knowledge of Layer 2/Layer 3 networking, including VLANs, STP, OSPF, and BGP
- Experience designing, implementing, and troubleshooting enterprise networks
- Proficiency with network automation tools such as Python and Ansible
- Knowledge of REST APIs and network programmability concepts
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and network security fundamentals
Preferred Skills/Experience (Nice-to-Haves)
- Experience with Dell, Cisco, Arista, or Juniper networking platforms
- CCNP, JNCIP, or equivalent networking certification
- Experience supporting wireless network infrastructure and controllers
- Knowledge of data center and campus network environments
- Experience with change management, incident response, and network documentation

Compensation & Benefits
- Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $49.00 and $70.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
