Full Stack Developer

Job Summary
Our client, a leading communication services provider, is seeking a hands-on Full Stack Developer IV to design, build, and maintain user-facing applications and supporting services for the Elements platform. The ideal candidate has strong front-end development experience with React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS, along with back-end experience using Python, Django, REST APIs, and SQL. This role is well suited for a senior engineer who enjoys owning features end to end — from designing the user experience and building the front end through APIs and data layers. The role will also leverage AI-assisted development and design tools, with an emphasis on taking proofs of concept all the way through to reliable, production-ready solutions.

Core Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain responsive and accessible web applications for the Elements platform
• Build modern front-end applications using React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3
• Own features end to end across the UI, application state, REST APIs, and data layer
• Develop and consume REST APIs using Python and Django REST Framework
• Build data-intensive interfaces including large tables, filtering and search, dashboards, charts, and asynchronous data experiences
• Use AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate development, testing, refactoring, and documentation while validating and maintaining ownership of the resulting code
• Use AI-assisted design tools to create UI concepts, wireframes, and mockups and translate them into production-ready interfaces
• Take proofs of concept from initial hypothesis and prototype through user validation, testing, and production deployment
• Help establish and maintain reusable front-end design systems and component libraries
• Develop automated tests, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing using tools such as Playwright
• Package and deploy applications using Docker, Kubernetes, and GitLab CI/CD
• Monitor application performance and troubleshoot issues across the front-end, API, and data layers
• Collaborate with product, data engineering, QA, and platform engineering teams to deliver reliable solutions
• Participate in code reviews, incident response, and on-call support
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship around front-end development, accessibility, and responsible use of AI development tools

Required Skills / Experience (Must-Haves)

• 5+ years of hands-on experience building production web applications
• 5+ years of modern front-end development experience using JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and a component-based framework such as React
• 3+ years of experience with Python, Django, and REST API development
• 3+ years of experience working with relational databases and SQL
• 3+ years of experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes and deploying containerized applications
• Strong understanding of front-end architecture, state management, responsive design, and performance optimization
• Experience building accessible web applications using WCAG standards
• Experience with automated front-end testing, preferably Playwright
• Hands-on experience using AI coding assistants and/or AI design tools in production work
• Strong understanding of secure web development practices, including authentication, authorization, input validation, and common OWASP vulnerabilities
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across the UI, API, and data layers
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and take ownership of technical solutions

Preferred Skills / Experience (Nice-to-Haves)

• Experience establishing or scaling a design system or shared component library
• Experience with Figma or similar design tools and AI-assisted design-to-code workflows
• Experience with AWS, particularly S3, and Linux environments
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Grafana or charting libraries such as D3, Recharts, or ECharts
• Experience building internal engineering, operations, or support applications
• Experience with CPE, telecom, networking, or network device data
• Experience with Apache Airflow or other workflow orchestration platforms
• Experience working in highly available production environments with SLOs, runbooks, and incident response
• Experience mentoring engineers or leading technical design reviews
• Experience defining standards or best practices for responsible AI-assisted development

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $51.00 and $73.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
