PL/SQL Developer
Job Summary
Our client, a leading Financial Services provider, is seeking a PL/SQL Developer to join their team in New York, NY. This individual will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise applications with a strong emphasis on Oracle PL/SQL and Shell Scripting. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, strong analytical skills, and experience collaborating within fast-paced technology organizations to deliver reliable, scalable solutions supporting critical business operations. Core Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable enterprise applications
- Develop, enhance, and optimize complex PL/SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects
- Create, modify, and maintain shell scripts for automation, deployment, and system monitoring
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code adhering to development best practices
- Collaborate with QA, DevOps, Application Support, and Product Management teams
- Participate in code reviews and knowledge-sharing initiatives
- Troubleshoot and resolve application defects and performance issues
- Ensure application security, reliability, and performance throughout the software development lifecycle
- Support production systems and provide technical expertise for critical business applications
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of professional experience with Oracle PL/SQL development (required and non-negotiable)
- Strong experience with Shell Scripting (Bash, KornShell, or similar) (required and non-negotiable)
- Experience developing and maintaining database-driven applications
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles and software design patterns
- Experience with version control tools, including GitHub
- Experience working within Linux/Unix environments
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Experience with cloud platforms
- Experience with the Spring Framework
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, Eclipse, and Toad
- Familiarity with Maven and other build automation tools
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban

Work Environment
- Location: New York, NY
- Hybrid Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday onsite (non-negotiable requirement)
- Duration: 6-month contract
- Contract Period: September 28, 2026, through March 26, 2027
- Full-time: 37.5 hours per week
- Interview Process: One-round panel interview
- Fingerprinting Required: No
- Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $42.00 and $60.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
