Job Summary
Our client, a leading energy and utility provider, is seeking a Scrum Master III to join their team. This is a 12-month contract opportunity (September 2026 through September 2027) based in St. Louis, MO, following a hybrid work model with 2–3 onsite days per week at the client's headquarters. This senior-level role brings specialized depth of Agile expertise, working independently to solve complex problems while guiding Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and Agile teams. The position owns team mobilization programs, Agile metrics, and governance processes that drive consistent, high-value Agile delivery across the organization.

This senior-level role brings specialized depth of Agile expertise, working independently to solve complex problems while guiding Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and Agile teams. The position owns team mobilization programs, Agile metrics, and governance processes that drive consistent, high-value Agile delivery across the organization.
Core Responsibilities
- Create and define mobilization programs for custom teams, managing the Agile mobilization methodology, team member onboarding packages, Agile Fit assessments, and Mobilization Working Agreements
- Guide teams to self-organize, problem-solve, and refine their processes to drive team velocity
- Coach Scrum Masters and Product Owners to remove progress barriers (cultural, administrative, logistical) and shield teams from external interference
- Facilitate inter-team dependencies and work to minimize or remove them
- Assist in the development, implementation, and enhancement of PMO processes, methodology, tools, and automation
- Own Agile metrics definition and application, creating the minimum necessary governance to enable consistent measurement of team and delivery health
- Organize working groups to define to-be processes and toolsets, and participate in the client's Agile Toolset Governance Board
- Guide Product Owners on stakeholder relationship management to establish expectations and priorities
- Bachelor's degree
- 7+ years of experience performing in multiple Agile roles
- 5+ years of relevant Scrum Master or Agile team experience
- Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), PMI Agile Certified Professional (PMI-ACP), or other leading Agile certification
- Expert Agile knowledge and skills, including Agile tools such as Jira, Rally, and ServiceNow
- Strong Scrum meeting facilitation skills and knowledge of software development methodologies
- Ability to guide teams on Agile practices and ensure adherence to Agile methodology to deliver maximum business value
- 2+ years of experience at large organizations or Fortune 500 companies
- Experience developing or enhancing PMO processes, tools, and automation
- Experience helping Agile teams iterate and define next Minimum Viable Products (MVPs)
- Experience with change control processes in enterprise environments
- Background coaching or mentoring other Scrum Masters and Product Owners
- Servant leadership with the ability to coach at both team and organizational levels
- Strong facilitation and conflict resolution skills across teams and stakeholders
- Independent problem-solver comfortable navigating complex, ambiguous challenges
- Continuous improvement mindset focused on team velocity and delivery health
- Clear communication with technical teams, leadership, and business stakeholders
- Location: St. Louis, MO
- Hybrid: 2–3 days onsite per week at the client's headquarters; interviews will be conducted onsite
- Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $55.00 and $62.00 per hour. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
