Operations Consultant - II
Job Summary
Our client is seeking an Operations Consultant II to support the day-to-day execution of an enterprise AI risk governance program. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring AI use cases move through governance reviews accurately, efficiently, and on schedule. This position is ideal for a highly organized professional with experience in governance operations, risk management, compliance, program operations, or similar business functions. The successful candidate will coordinate workflows, manage documentation, facilitate governance meetings, and partner with stakeholders across the organization to keep processes moving effectively. While experience supporting AI governance initiatives is a plus, candidates with strong operational, risk, compliance, or governance backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

- Duration: 6-Month Contract (Potential Extension and/or Conversion)

Core Responsibilities
- Coordinate intake, review, routing, and tracking of AI-related governance requests and workflows
- Maintain governance work queues, status tracking, and follow-up activities
- Escalate issues appropriately to ensure timely resolution and decision-making
- Schedule and coordinate governance meetings, including agenda preparation and documentation
- Capture meeting decisions, action items, and next steps
- Serve as a central point of contact for business partners, stakeholders, and governance teams
- Communicate process updates, requirements, and status information to stakeholders
- Maintain audit-ready records, governance documentation, templates, and procedures
- Generate recurring operational reports and leadership updates
- Support continuous improvement efforts to enhance governance processes and operational efficiency
Required Skills & Experience
- 3+ years of experience in governance operations, risk operations, compliance operations, program operations, or a related field
- Experience supporting governance, risk assessment, compliance, or cross-functional operational workflows
- Strong organizational and project coordination skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholder groups simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and documentation management experience
- Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and identify issues requiring escalation
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and business process documentation
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Experience within financial services, insurance, or other highly regulated industries
- Exposure to AI governance, AI risk management, or responsible AI programs
- Experience preparing operational reporting and executive-level updates
- Familiarity with governance committees, review boards, or risk management processes

Compensation & Benefits
- Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $28.00 and $40.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
