Job Summary
Our Travel and Hospitality client is looking for a Project Engineer to support their active Starlink fleet modification program on a contract running through October 2027 in Seattle, WA. This role splits evenly between supporting the execution of aircraft modifications across roughly 200 aircraft and monitoring and maintaining active Starlink connectivity on the live flying fleet. The right candidate brings some background in aircraft modification, systems testing, or IFEC engineering, understands how airlines operate, and can hit the ground running with minimal oversight. Attitude and self-starter energy matter just as much as technical background here.
This position is W-2 only. We do not work with third-party firms or C2C arrangements for this role.

Core Responsibilities
- Support the lead project engineer on the Starlink fleet modification program including scheduling, task card creation, and coordination of manual changes used by technicians in the field
- Coordinate directly with SpaceX as the primary external vendor on the modification side, managing day to day communication and tracking deliverables
- Monitor active Starlink connectivity across the in-service fleet and make configuration changes on aircraft currently flying passengers
- Push service bulletins to the fleet and manage updates on in-service aircraft as part of ongoing operations support
- Act as the IFE engineering point of contact for internal stakeholders including commercial, flight ops, and operations teams
- Support the lead project engineer with whatever else is needed to keep the program on track
- Background in aircraft modification, systems testing, or aerospace engineering in an operational environment
- Familiarity with the STC process and how FAA-approved modifications are executed on certified aircraft
- Experience supporting in-service fleet operations including service bulletin execution or configuration management
- Ability to write or validate technical documentation and work instructions for technicians
- Vendor or stakeholder coordination experience on a technical program
- Strong communication skills and comfort working across internal teams
- IFEC or connectivity system experience with Panasonic Avionics, Intelsat, Viasat, Starlink, or Project Kuiper
- Direct airline-side engineering experience, operator background preferred over pure OEM or design
- Space or satellite industry background with connectivity system exposure
- Experience writing task cards or technical work instructions for aircraft technicians
- Familiarity with aircraft modification execution at an MRO or line station environment
- Prior exposure to SpaceX systems or Starlink hardware in an engineering context
- Self-starter who asks questions and does not wait to be told what to do
- Ramps quickly on unfamiliar systems and programs without needing heavy oversight
- Stays organized and keeps stakeholders informed on progress and blockers
- Comfortable operating in a fast-moving program environment where priorities shift
- Owns their workstream and follows through without being managed closely
- Genuinely wants to be there and learn
- Location: Seattle, WA
- Schedule: Fully onsite five days a week
- Duration: Through October 2027
- Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $72.00 and $80.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
