Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary 
Our Energy & Utilities client is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Transmission Software Engineering team! This position is based in St. Louis, Missouri, with a hybrid schedule requiring onsite work 3 days per week.
  
Core Responsibilities 

• Collaborate with developers, engineers, and architects within an Agile delivery team environment 
• Support software development efforts, production support activities, and application enhancements 
• Participate in system design discussions, sprint planning, standups, retrospectives, and code reviews 
• Troubleshoot SQL queries, support interfaces between applications, and assist with data-related requests
• Develop and maintain software solutions, scripts, release documentation, and technical documentation 
• Assist with regression testing, unit testing, and functional testing activities 
• Support low-volume on-call rotations and occasional after-hours maintenance activities 
• Continuously learn existing tools, data structures, and internal business processes related to transmission operations

Required Skills/Experience (Must-Haves) 

• 5+ years of software development experience 
• Experience with C#, NET, API Integrations
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and team collaboration 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
• Ability to troubleshoot and work with SQL queries 
• Strong communication and teamwork skills 
• Self-starter mindset with willingness to learn and adapt

Preferred Skills/Experience (Nice-to-Haves) 

• Experience with MS Blazor or Visual Basic 
• Exposure to Oracle products or databases 
• Knowledge of data governance and data management best practices 
• Experience supporting interfaces or integrations between applications 
• Exposure to production support environments

Compensation & Benefits 

• Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $56.00 and $80.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
