Our client is seeking a Senior Technical Writer to join their team! This individual will partner with SMEs, peer groups, and vendors to establish and maintain operational support documentation, playbooks, and best practice materials supporting the lifecycle management of security assets.
Core Responsibilities
- Technical documentation development and lifecycle management including research, preparation, editing, and maintenance
- Develop operational support artifacts including onboarding guides, playbooks, SOPs, and best practice documentation
- Ensure editorial standards, formatting consistency, version control, and documentation quality
- Create and maintain IAM and logging/monitoring documentation supporting SIEM, EDR/XDR, and OT monitoring environments
- Support compliance, SOX, and audit-related documentation initiatives
- Partner with SMEs, engineers, analysts, architects, and vendors to gather and document operational information
- Support publishing, access control, and content delivery processes
- Leverage AI capabilities and automation tools to improve documentation creation and maintenance
- Maintain alignment between documentation, evolving technologies, threats, and regulatory requirements
- 5+ years of experience in technical documentation within cybersecurity, IT, Industrial Control Systems, or OT environments
- Experience researching, editing, and maintaining complex technical documentation across the full lifecycle
- Experience developing runbooks, playbooks, SOPs, onboarding guides, and operational documentation
- Hands-on familiarity with IAM systems and logging/monitoring platforms (SIEM, EDR/XDR)
- Strong understanding of documentation standards, formatting, publishing, and quality assurance
- Experience within regulated or compliance-driven industries
- Strong communication and collaboration skills working cross-functionally with SMEs and technical teams
- Experience leveraging AI tools to improve documentation creation and optimization
- Certified Authorization Professional (CAP) or similar GRC certification
- Technical Writing Certification (e.g., Society for Technical Communication)
- Cybersecurity domain expertise including IAM, PAM, SIEM/SOAR, EDR/XDR, OT monitoring, and incident response
- SharePoint and Confluence
- Exposure to Splunk, CrowdStrike, Dragos, and Microsoft Defender
- AI-assisted writing, summarization, editing, and content optimization
- Strong collaboration skills across cross-functional and siloed environments

- Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $31.00 and $45.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
