Job Summary
Our client, a leading energy & utilities provider, is seeking a Senior ServiceNow Engineer to support a high-impact enterprise transformation initiative focused on rebuilding a ServiceNow environment from the ground up. This is a unique opportunity to help design and implement a new greenfield instance following ServiceNow best practices while reducing technical debt and improving long-term platform scalability.
This is a contract position through the end of 2026, with strong likelihood of extension as part of an 18-month initiative. The role is hybrid, requiring 3 days onsite per week in St. Louis, MO. This position is W-2 only. We do not work with third-party firms or C2C arrangements for this role.

Core Responsibilities
- Lead ServiceNow module workstreams from design through deployment
- Configure, test, validate, and deploy ServiceNow platform enhancements
- Partner with Business Analysts and Engineers to rebuild and improve platform modules
- Support a greenfield ServiceNow implementation using out-of-the-box best practices
- Help reduce technical debt and improve platform scalability and maintainability
- Participate in daily standups, project meetings, testing, releases, and deployments
- Provide technical guidance, troubleshoot roadblocks, and mentor junior engineers
- 7+ years of ServiceNow experience (minimum)
- Senior or Lead-level ServiceNow engineering experience
- Strong ServiceNow platform configuration and implementation experience
- Experience supporting ServiceNow module redesign, rebuild, or implementation work
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Excellent time management and attention to detail
- Ability to provide technical guidance and help remove engineering roadblocks
- Greenfield ServiceNow implementation experience
- Common Service Data Model (CSDM) experience
- ServiceNow integrations experience
- Experience with ITSM, Discovery, Business Continuity, Strategic Portfolio Management, GRC/IRM, or Collaborative Work Management
- Experience implementing out-of-the-box ServiceNow best practices
- Experience mentoring or supporting junior ServiceNow engineers

- Location: St. Louis, MO
- Hybrid: 3 days onsite per week, flexible onsite days
- Schedule: Core business hours, flexible start between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM
- Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $75.00 and $82.00 per hour. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
