Job Summary
Our client, a leading Insurance provider, is seeking a Product Owner to join their team. The Agile Product Owner represents the voice of the Group Insurance customer and client at the team level, maintaining and prioritizing the Product Backlog, to ensure that the team is working on stories that maximize business value and deliver necessary fixes and functionality to all end users. This role will focus on supporting the Client Readiness and Enrollment domains within Group Insurance so experience working in this area is a plus. They must have strong business skills and experience working with technology with concentration on User Interface experience and requirements.
Specifically looking for exceptional candidates to work Eastern Time (EST) with on-shore, near-shore and off-shore members that want to grow a successful career and that wants to be part of an ambitious, highly focused team. Limited travel (15-25%) will be required in the future when teams return to onsite work.
In order to be considered, you must be highly motivated, driven to succeed, have proven IT leadership skills, and have demonstrated expertise in managing large scale IT application delivery and quality engineering in a matrixed environment. Key Details:
- Contract type and duration: 12 Month Contract
- Work location: Remote – EST HOURS
- Ability to partner with Product Managers to decompose Program Epic work requirements and priorities into features
- Ability to create detailed user stories for these defined features
- Full accountability for execution of assigned user stories and associated products/deliverables. Comfortable participating in and supporting development and testing and production support teams
- Engage with Scrum Master and team members on a regular basis to ensure assigned features are fully executed within the prescribed Program Increment
- Hold all appropriate Product Owner ceremonies as necessary (PI Planning, Grooming, Demo, etc.) and partner with other Product Owners
- Engage System Architects to understand potential impacts and for design solution discussions
- Lead prioritization of work for delivery team based on business value and engagement with stakeholders
- Responsible for user story management, including accurate story descriptions and acceptance criteria
- Comfortable with escalating risks to Product Manager
- Disciplined with scope management; partners with other product owners to assess and evaluate changes for feasibility and impacts on commitments
- 5+ years of technology project experience is required
- SAFe Experience
- UI Experience
- A proven ability to quickly earn the trust of sponsors and key stakeholders; mobilize and motivate teams; set direction and approach; resolve conflict; deliver tough messages with grace; execute with limited information and ambiguity
- Ability to navigate a fast paced, highly matrixed organization effectively
- Proven ability to present and communicate at all levels with clarity and precision both written and verbally

- Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $60.00 and $69.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
