Job Summary
Our client, a leading aviation company, is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Agentic System Layer (ASL) team responsible for building and maintaining the core platform components that power next-generation AI agent systems. This role will focus on developing scalable AI infrastructure, including agent orchestration services, execution runtimes, APIs, microservices, and LLM-powered applications.
The ideal candidate will have strong backend engineering experience with Python, hands-on experience building production APIs and cloud-native applications, and familiarity with LLM integration, AI/ML workflows, and agentic frameworks. This position requires a strong software engineer who can write clean, testable code, collaborate with architects and ML engineers, and help deliver reliable AI platforms in a production environment.

This role will focus on developing scalable AI infrastructure, including agent orchestration services, execution runtimes, APIs, microservices, and LLM-powered applications.

Core Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain agent orchestration services, execution runtimes, and platform components supporting enterprise AI systems
- Design, build, and enhance RESTful APIs, microservices, and backend services for LLM integration, prompt management, and agent lifecycle management
- Build scalable Python-based services and collaborate on integrations using Java, Go, or TypeScript where applicable
- Implement observability, logging, monitoring, and alerting to ensure the reliability and performance of AI-driven workflows
- Write and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to improve application quality, stability, and production readiness
- Partner with software architects, ML engineers, and cross-functional teams to design, develop, and integrate AI-powered solutions
- Support production environments through troubleshooting, incident response, and participation in on-call rotations
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and deployment processes using Infrastructure-as-Code practices
- Develop and optimize containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes for scalable cloud deployments
- Integrate AI/ML services using LLM frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, or similar orchestration tools
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and software design sessions to promote engineering best practices and maintain high code quality
- Continuously improve platform performance, scalability, security, and maintainability through automation and process enhancements
- 5+ years software engineering experience with strong proficiency in Python
- Working knowledge of at least one: Java, Go, or TypeScript; hands-on experience building production REST/gRPC APIs and microservices
- Solid experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure preferred), containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi)
- Working experience with LLM integration patterns, prompt engineering, or AI/ML application development; familiarity with frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, or similar orchestration tools
- Experience with event-driven architectures (Kafka, EventBridge), vector databases
- Observability tools: (Datadog, Splunk, OpenTelemetry)
- Agent evaluation frameworks, FastAPI/Flask, async Python, Redis/caching patterns

- Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $50.00 and $55.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
