Our client, a leading utility and energy provider, is seeking an Operations Data Analyst III to join their team.
Key Details:
- Contract Duration: 33 weeks (08/17/2026 – 04/06/2027)
- Work Location: Bay Area, CA (preference), Service Territory, or onshore
- Work Arrangement: Primarily remote with occasional onsite meetings in Oakland General Office (OGO) or San Ramon
- Client laptop will be provided for the assignment

Core Responsibilities
- Analyze existing SmartMeter application interfaces and tools, including creating SQL code, scheduling scripts, and testing/debugging application interfaces
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve application, data, and performance issues within production systems
- Execute planned and ad hoc corrective maintenance to support continuous system operations
- Monitor, evaluate, and resolve bugs, incidents, exceptions, and data discrepancies across SmartMeter applications and processes
- Provide operational oversight for 24-hour clock package processing to support timely bill delivery and customer usage reporting
- Collaborate with users, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to communicate incident status, progress, and solutions
- Develop implementation plans, contribute to business requirements documentation, and recommend process, procedure, and tool enhancements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of application operations, production support, infrastructure technologies, or operations analysis experience
- Large Application Operations
- Linux and Oracle Experience
- Integration experience
- Experience supporting enterprise applications in production environments
- Linux/Unix troubleshooting experience
- SQL and Oracle database knowledge
- Experience with incident and problem management processes
- Experience designing, deploying, and supporting large-scale, complex infrastructure and application systems
- Enterprise application production support
- Large-scale application operations
- Application integrations
- Incident and problem management
- Experience supporting web services
- Experience with monitoring and alerting tools
- Experience with change and release management processes
- Experience analyzing and supporting application integrations
- Familiarity with infrastructure components including Linux servers, networks, backups, and Oracle databases
- Experience developing SQL code and scheduling scripts
- Experience working with SmartMeter applications or similar utility systems
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical troubleshooting skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple departments
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on maintaining production system reliability
- Ability to identify opportunities for process and operational improvements
- Location: Bay Area, CA preferred; Service Territory or onshore candidates will also be considered
- Work Arrangement: Primarily remote with occasional onsite meetings in Oakland General Office (OGO) or San Ramon
- Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is $40.00 and $68.13 per hour. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
