Job Summary
Our Financial Services client is seeking a Scrum Master to join their growing organization. This is a highly visible project focused on building the strategic digital asset platform. The Scrum Master and Project Manager facilitate the planning, tracking, communication, and coordination of activities for an Agile project delivery team. This role requires solid practical experience and techniques in both Agile and project management. As a Scrum Master, the role includes collaborating intensively with their team members across both Business and Technology disciplines providing mentoring and coaching around Agile principles and practices. He/she aids with the resolution of blocking challenges and provides outward communication for the team to external stakeholders.
This position is W-2 only. We do not work with third-party firms or C2C arrangements for this role.

Core Responsibilities
- Organize, moderate and demonstrate value-add principles and practices to the teams, with an emphasis on leveraging the benefits of Agile, facilitating continuous improvement and enabling teams to be self-empowered
- Develop and execute plans and roadmaps, deliver status reports, meet deadlines, coordinate timelines and efforts and operate under tight time constraints
- Establish strong working relationships and promote bi-directional communication within and across multiple business and technology teams
- Apply advanced principles, theories, and concepts and contribute to the development of innovative principles and ideas
- Effectively facilitate discussions and suggest alternative approaches
- Be transparent and provide visibility to Business and Technology
- Develop and grow trust across the project team(s), Business and Technology
- Collaborate closely with PMO team to facilitate change
- Responsible for formal meeting facilitation including meetings that support the Agile meeting cadence
- Balance workload between scrum master and project management responsibilities
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience required
- A basic understanding of technology and technical architecture
- Intermediate to advanced understanding of basic software development methodologies and fundamentals (Agile, SCRUM, Kanban, Lean, Waterfall, etc.)
- Experience with developing, testing, and deploying software utilizing a rapid, iterative delivery method
- Understanding of all facets of the software development life cycle including planning, requirements management, development, quality assurance, change management and release management
- Exposure or awareness of continuous integration and test-driven development practices, test automation, and tools
- Experience with Agile Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools (ADO)
- 5+ years of experience in Project Management, Process Management or Relationship Management
- Process or Project Management certification (i.e., Lean, Six Sigma, PMP), Business Management certification
- Strong problem solving and influencing skills
- Work experience achieving results with complex projects
- Proficient in end-to-end project management delivery
- Self-starter with curiosity and initiative
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills
- Comfortable presenting to leadership and navigating challenging stakeholder dynamic
- Location: Must sit onsite in Chicago, Illinois 3 days a week

- Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $60.00 and $70.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
