Our client, a leading entertainment and media organization, is seeking an ETL Developer / Power BI Developer to join their team. This role is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining enterprise reporting solutions that enable portfolio reporting within a product-centric operating model. The ideal candidate will own the end-to-end delivery lifecycle for dashboards, semantic models, and data integrations while partnering with business stakeholders to translate complex data needs into actionable insights.
Contract Details:
- Contract Duration: 43 weeks (07/25/2026 – 05/22/2027)
- Work Location: Orlando, FL or Burbank, CA
- Work Arrangement: Hybrid – onsite 4 days per week
- Candidates must be flexible to support stakeholders across multiple time zones
- East Coast candidates may need later working hours
- West Coast candidates may need earlier start times
- The expectation is reasonable overlap across time zones
Core Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and semantic models supporting portfolio and product decision-making
- Build and optimize DAX measures, calculated tables, relationships, and data models to ensure accuracy, scalability, and performance
- Translate business requirements into reporting solutions, metrics definitions, and user-friendly visualizations
- Integrate and transform data from multiple enterprise systems including Smartsheet, Jira, SAP, ServiceNow, Clarity PPM, and SQL-based sources
- Develop Power Query (M) transformations, dataflows, refresh processes, and troubleshoot reporting/data issues
- Manage Power BI delivery lifecycle including development, testing, production deployment, workspace management, and governance practices
- Partner with business stakeholders and platform owners to improve data quality, define reporting standards, and deliver actionable insights
- Build scalable analytics solutions, including AI-assisted reporting workflows and automation where applicable
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 7+ years of experience developing enterprise BI/reporting solutions with significant hands-on Power BI development experience
- Advanced Power BI expertise including DAX, semantic/data modeling, calculated tables, and performance optimization
- Strong experience with Power Query (M), SQL, and ETL/data transformation processes
- Experience integrating data from multiple enterprise systems and data sources
- Experience building and supporting enterprise dashboards, reporting platforms, and analytics solutions
- Experience with Power BI administration including workspaces, apps, refresh schedules, gateways, and access controls
- Ability to translate ambiguous business requirements into structured data models, metrics, and reporting solutions
- Strong understanding of end-to-end data flows, data quality, troubleshooting, and reporting architecture
- Ability to partner directly with business stakeholders, gather requirements, and recommend reporting approaches
- Experience with Snowflake, including cloud data warehouse concepts, ETL/ELT patterns, and Power BI integrations
- Experience with additional visualization tools such as Tableau, Qlik, Looker, or advanced Excel reporting
- Experience with Smartsheet, Jira, SAP, ServiceNow, or Clarity PPM integrations
- Experience developing AI-assisted analytics solutions or copilots
- Experience designing and deploying agentic AI workflows using LLMs, automation tools, and human-in-the-loop controls
- Experience with Power Automate and CoPilot Studio
- Experience working in enterprise technology organizations or product-centric operating models
- Strong business partnership skills with the ability to gather requirements and influence reporting strategies
- Systems-level thinker who can understand and optimize complex data flows across multiple platforms
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot data and reporting challenges
- Ownership mindset with accountability for end-to-end delivery and outcomes
- Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment while managing ambiguity
- Location: Orlando, FL or Burbank, CA
- Work Arrangement: Hybrid – onsite 4 days per week
- Must be flexible to collaborate with stakeholders across multiple time zones
- Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $60.00 and $73.00 per hour depending on location. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
