Research Operations Technician

Job Summary
Our client, a leading agricultural research organization, is seeking a Research Operations Technician to join their team.

Key Details:

• Contract
• Work Location: Onsite – Chesterfield, MO

Core Responsibilities

• Oversee and maintain inventory of research materials
• Process material requests accurately and efficiently
• Ensure compliance with ISO quality standards and established laboratory protocols
• Support daily operations, including shipping, receiving, workspace organization, and equipment maintenance
• Perform accurate data entry and maintain research records
• Process research materials and manage cooler and cold storage areas
• Assist with greenhouse operations and plant care activities as needed

Required Skills/Experience (Must-Haves)

• Associate of Science (A.S.) degree or higher
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and standard computer applications
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work in hot and cold environments
• Willingness to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and safely operate pallet jacks and walk-behind forklifts

Preferred Skills/Experience (Nice-to-Haves)

• One or more years of related laboratory, research, warehouse, or operations experience
• Experience with inventory management and material handling
• Familiarity with ISO quality standards or regulated work environments
• Basic mechanical aptitude and equipment troubleshooting skills
• Experience with shipping and receiving operations
• Laboratory sample processing experience
• Greenhouse, horticulture, or plant care experience

Work Environment

• Location: Onsite
• Work Arrangement: Fully onsite
• Laboratory and greenhouse environment requiring PPE, standing for extended periods, and work in varying temperature conditions

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $18.00 and $22.00 per hour. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
