Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Human Resources Assistant to support employee services and HR operations within a fast-paced environment. This role serves as a primary point of contact for HR-related inquiries, providing exceptional customer service while assisting with employee lifecycle transactions, benefits administration, onboarding and offboarding processes, employment verification, and HR systems support. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering accurate and timely solutions to employees and internal stakeholders.
This position is a 6–12-month contract to start, onsite in Charlotte.
This position is W-2 only. We are open to working with third-party firms or C2C arrangements for this role.

Our client is seeking a Human Resources Assistant to support employee services and HR operations within a fast-paced environment. This role serves as a primary point of contact for HR-related inquiries, providing exceptional customer service while assisting with employee lifecycle transactions, benefits administration, onboarding and offboarding processes, employment verification, and HR systems support. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering accurate and timely solutions to employees and internal stakeholders.

Core Responsibilities
- Respond to employee and HR-related inquiries with a high level of professionalism, accuracy, and customer service
- Provide support for employee lifecycle transactions, including onboarding, offboarding, and personnel record updates
- Process and maintain HR data within HR systems and case management tools
- Assist with employment verification requests and unemployment-related inquiries
- Support benefits administration and employee wellness program activities
- Coordinate and track background screenings, drug screenings, and I-9 employment eligibility verification processes
- Maintain HR documentation, forms, and records in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Escalate complex employee concerns appropriately while remaining engaged through resolution
- Generate reports, prepare correspondence, and provide administrative support to the Human Resources team
- Ensure compliance with established service standards, policies, and service level agreements
- 0–4+ years of administrative, customer service, human resources, or related experience. Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and HR-related systems
- Ability to navigate multiple systems and applications while maintaining accuracy
- Previous experience in Human Resources, employee services, or HR operations
- Familiarity with HRIS platforms, case management systems, or payroll and benefits administration tools
- Knowledge of onboarding, offboarding, employment verification, and compliance-related HR processes
- Experience supporting employee relations or HR shared services environments
- Understanding of unemployment claims, benefits programs, and employment documentation requirements
- Location: Charlotte, NC

- Duration: 6-12 months to start
- Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $16.00 and $17.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
