Product Designer (UX/Product Design)

Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Product Designer (UX/Product Design) to join their team! This position is located in New York or McLean, VA.

Core Responsibilities

• Product Design Expertise: Leverage deep expertise in product design and skills across interaction, visual and service design; Collaborate with cross-functional partners, use appropriate tools, platforms, frameworks and design systems and work with teams to create artifacts that may include journey maps, blueprints, high-fidelity designs and prototypes
• Human-Centered: Champion the customer through the design process, leveraging critical-thinking skills that factor in data, research insights, scalability, tech constraints and feedback
• Business-Focused: Understand and apply business and customer strategy, facilitate design process activities with team and partners, negotiating customer needs and business goals for harmonious outcomes
• Problem-Solving: Understand of the potential of tech and data capabilities and emerging technologies and use this knowledge to inform work and help your team navigate technical limitations
• Communication: Present work to audiences across levels and job functions using a human-centered approach that integrates design frameworks, data and research insights to effectively articulate insights and design decisions

Required Skills/Experience (Must-Haves)

• 3+ years of experience in Product Design, UX Design, or Interaction Design
• 3+ years of experience using Figma for design and prototyping
• 3+ years of experience collaborating with Product Managers, Engineers, and business stakeholders
• 3+ years of experience working within an established design system
• Experience designing enterprise or B2B software applications
• Experience designing data-heavy interfaces including dashboards, tables, forms, and complex workflows
• Strong portfolio demonstrating design process, problem-solving approach, business impact, and measurable results
• Experience working independently while managing multiple design initiatives
• Excellent communication and presentation skills

Preferred Skills/Experience (Nice-to-Haves)

• Experience designing products within financial services, banking, FinTech, Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Risk Management, Compliance, or other highly regulated industries

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $75.00 and $81.35 per hour. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
