Revenue Accountant

Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a Revenue Accountant to join their team! This position is located in Houston, Texas. 
 
Duties:

• Support revenue recognition activities in accordance with ASC 606, with a solid understanding of downstream accounting and reporting impacts
• Prepare and maintain revenue schedules, including roll-forwards, unwinds, reclassifications, and supporting documentation
• Utilize Zuora to manage subscription billing data and resolve system-related challenges impacting revenue accounting
• Develop and deliver revenue reports and ad hoc analyses using Tableau and other reporting tools to support internal stakeholders
• Assist with accounting compliance reporting, audits, and internal controls related to revenue processes
• Respond to frequent ad hoc requests from Finance, Accounting, and business partners, providing clear and accurate financial insights
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support process improvements and ensure data accuracy across systems

Desired Skills/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 4+ years of revenue accounting experience, preferably within large, complex organizations
• Working knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition principles and their practical application
• Hands-on experience with Zuora (strongly preferred), particularly in subscription or billing-based revenue models
• Experience preparing revenue roll-forwards, reconciliations, and compliance-related reporting
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple moving parts in a highly complex environment

The approximate pay range for this position is between $54.00 and $78.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
