Our client, a leading energy and utilities provider, is seeking a Operations Project Coordinator to join their team. This role will support critical gas distribution maintenance, inspection, compliance, and emergency response initiatives by coordinating projects, tracking deliverables, managing documentation, and partnering with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in coordinating operational activities, analyzing data, managing workflows, and communicating across multiple stakeholder groups. This position will play a key role in ensuring maintenance and compliance projects are completed accurately, efficiently, and in alignment with regulatory requirements.
Key Details:
- Contract Type: Contract opportunity (potential for conversion currently unknown due to organizational changes)
- Interview Process: One interview with the Hiring Manager and two Supervisors
- Work Location: Hybrid
- Schedule: Monday–Thursday onsite | Friday remote
- Education Required: High School Diploma or GED
- Coordinate gas maintenance, inspection, and compliance projects across the service territory, ensuring activities are completed on schedule and meet operational requirements
- Track project milestones, work orders, maintenance activities, and compliance deliverables while maintaining accurate documentation
- Partner with field teams, engineering, compliance, dispatch, construction management, and leadership to support project execution and resolve issues
- Manage and update work records, maintenance notifications, and project-related documentation within SAP Plant Maintenance (SAP-PM)
- Analyze operational data, identify discrepancies, and prepare reports to support compliance tracking, audits, and management decision-making
- Coordinate emergency response activities by supporting scheduling, resource allocation, communication, and work order management
- Develop and maintain project reports, status updates, tracking documents, and ad hoc reporting for leadership and business stakeholders
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2+ years of experience in project coordination, operations coordination, administrative support, or a related field
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and documentation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience collaborating across teams
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including: Excel, Word, Microsoft Project, Visio
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and recommend solutions
- Experience supporting utility, construction, engineering, or infrastructure projects
- Experience coordinating field operations or maintenance programs
- Experience with SAP Plant Maintenance (SAP-PM) or similar enterprise systems
- Experience with reporting tools such as SAP HANA
- Experience supporting regulatory compliance programs or audit activities
- Familiarity with work order management, scheduling, or dispatch systems
- Experience coordinating projects involving multiple internal stakeholders
- Project Coordination & Organization: Ability to manage schedules, track action items, maintain documentation, and keep projects moving forward
- Attention to Detail: Ensures accuracy of compliance records, reports, work orders, and project documentation
- Communication & Collaboration: Effectively partners with field teams, technical groups, and business stakeholders to drive successful outcomes
- Analytical Thinking: Ability to review data, identify trends or discrepancies, and support operational decision-making
- Adaptability: Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities and urgent operational needs
- Location: Hybrid
- Schedule: Monday–Thursday onsite | Friday remote
- Work Setting: Office environment with regular collaboration with field operations teams and internal stakeholders
- Equipment: Client may provide laptop and select office equipment. Supplier will provide monitors for remote work and headset
- Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $30.00 and $35.00 per hour. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
