Job Summary
Our client, a leading media & entertainment provider, is seeking an Archives Assistant. This candidate will support the planning and execution of a large-scale collections relocation project by working closely with multiple departments within the Archives Team to inventory, document, track, and prepare collection assets for transport and rehousing.
This part-time position requires a highly organized individual who can work both collaboratively and independently to ensure the accurate management and movement of collection materials. This is a 12 month contract position. This position is W-2 only. We do not work with third-party firms or C2C arrangements for this role.

This candidate will support the planning and execution of a large-scale collections relocation project by working closely with multiple departments within the Archives Team to inventory, document, track, and prepare collection assets for transport and rehousing.

Core Responsibilities
- Conducting detailed inventories
- Cataloging and updating collection records
- Reconciling object data
- Maintaining accurate documentation within spreadsheets, databases, and collections management systems
- Assisting with object identification, labeling, location tracking, and the creation of packing and movement documentation to support the safe relocation of collections
- Helping to maintain data integrity throughout the project by verifying object records, updating location information, and ensuring adherence to established collections management procedures and professional standards
- Coordinating with Collections staff to facilitate workflows, monitor project progress, and address discrepancies that arise during inventory and move activities
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field and/or background working in a collections or archives
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and collections database management software
- Experience with object handling
- Ability to perform highly detailed work on multiple, concurrent tasks
- Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills
- Must be able to stand, bend, lift, and reach as the job requires
- Archive experience is ideal
- Location: Glendale, California
- Onsite
- Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $20.00 and $26.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
