Our client is seeking a Senior Product Designer to help shape the strategy, experience, and delivery of complex enterprise digital products. This is a hybrid contract opportunity based in Chicago, IL, ideal for a senior-level designer who excels at solving complex workflow and information architecture challenges while partnering closely with product managers, engineers, architects, researchers, and business stakeholders. The ideal candidate has extensive experience designing data-rich enterprise applications, strong systems thinking, and a proven ability to drive products from discovery through delivery.

Our client is seeking a Senior Product Designer to help shape the strategy, experience, and delivery of complex enterprise digital products. Core Responsibilities
- Lead the design of complex, data-intensive digital products and enterprise workflows
- Translate business objectives, technical constraints, user needs, and operational requirements into intuitive user experiences
- Partner closely with engineering teams throughout the product lifecycle to ensure designs are scalable, feasible, and successfully implemented
- Lead discovery activities to understand user behaviors, workflows, pain points, and business opportunities
- Create user flows, information architecture, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs
- Design experiences that enable users to analyze and interact with complex data and operational workflows
- Balance user needs, business goals, and technical constraints to drive informed design decisions
- Facilitate collaboration across cross-functional teams and key stakeholders
- Contribute to and leverage design systems, accessibility standards, and established design patterns
- Advocate for user-centered design while maintaining focus on measurable business outcomes
- Partner with developers throughout implementation to ensure design quality and experience consistency
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Human Factors, Psychology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- 7+ years of experience designing enterprise software, SaaS platforms, or other complex digital products
- Demonstrated experience designing applications that support sophisticated workflows, operational processes, or data-rich experiences
- Strong knowledge of interaction design, information architecture, visual design, and usability principles
- Experience working within Agile product development environments
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders and effectively communicate design rationale to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Proficiency with Figma or other modern design and prototyping tools
- Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design, systems thinking, and measurable business impact
- Experience designing dashboards, reporting tools, analytics platforms, workflow systems, or other data-intensive applications
- Experience working with design systems and component-based design methodologies
- Experience partnering closely with engineering teams on complex technical implementations
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design best practices
- Experience working within highly regulated or complex industries such as financial services, healthcare, technology, or enterprise software

- Hybrid schedule with anchor days Tuesday through Thursday
- Standard business hours are 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST
- Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $75.00 and $80.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
