Our client, a leading retail & consumer goods provider, is seeking a Functional Analyst to join their team. This team works closely with external vendors and internal IT teams to establish, drive, and ensure that our service level objectives are met and effectively improve service uptime and performance.
Core Responsibilities
- Develops complex multi-year forecasting, cost plans, manages budgets, responsible for the forecast versus actuals analysis, identifies financial risks before they become overages, and re-allocates funds across workstreams as priorities shift
- Partners with the IT Finance team to perform deep-dive financial analyses and manage OpEx and CapEx spend in strict alignment with corporate accounting standards
- Responsibilities include evaluating forecast-versus-actuals, conducting thorough variance analyses for OPEX, and providing actionable insights to support budget planning, cost management, and accurate tracking for tax and audit purposes
- Extracts and formats data to perform analysis and to identify anomalies to determine data patterns
- Presents findings and recommendations to IT and Business stakeholders in clear terms with meaningful interpretation and actionable insights
- Creates accessible visualizations that quickly and clearly communicate their intent to present in monthly and quarterly business reviews
- Identifies areas where data analysis could reveal hidden value and works with management to explore it
- Understanding of the IT/Business requirements, Financial and contract analysis, contract renewals and services
- Liaises for contracts, don't need to be a SME but need to have basic contract knowledge, attention to detail
- Core Finance understanding of CapEx vs OpEx budget classification, amortization, budget management
- Vendor Management/procurement: incident management/SLAs, scoring
- Platforms: Google Sheets, Google Suite, ServiceNow, Icertis, Arriba, SAP
- GCP experience
- SAP
- Big plus would be SLA/Proactive Vendor management - not a skill the team has currently, so this would uplevel the team
Key Competencies & Behaviors
- Partner across diverse teams to analyze financial, contractual, and operational data and facilitate critical discussions around risks, financial priorities, and targeted results
- Talent for designing meaningful executive dashboards that track performance trends, define key metrics, and proactively minimize service disruptions
- Entails driving total vendor accountability by ensuring performance targets are legally documented in contracts and by rigorously managing fiduciary obligations and remedies when error budgets are breached
- Through exceptional cross-functional collaboration and relationship management, the analyst will identify opportunities to optimize vendor delivery, resolve complex business challenges, and champion long-term success
Work Environment
- 6 month contract
- Hybrid Onsite, 3 days/week in Issaqauah, Washington
- Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $40.00 and $46.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
