Our client, a leading technology organization, is seeking an Advisor, IT Network Development to join their team! This position is a 5-month contract opportunity and will require onsite support at Franklin, MA. Our client, a leading technology organization, is seeking an Advisor, IT Network Development to join their team! This position is a 5-month contract opportunity and will require onsite support at Franklin, MA. The ideal candidate will bring strong network engineering expertise with a focus on network automation and Layer 2/Layer 3 switching, supporting the design, implementation, optimization, and reliability of enterprise network infrastructure.
Core Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure across data center and campus environments
- Develop and implement network automation solutions to streamline provisioning, configuration, and troubleshooting
- Manage and optimize network performance, availability, scalability, and security
- Troubleshoot complex network issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective resolutions
- Collaborate with engineering, architecture, vendors, and cross-functional teams on network integration and deployment initiatives
- Evaluate, test, recommend, and implement network technologies and solutions based on business requirements
- Maintain network documentation, diagrams, operational procedures, and participate in change management and continuous improvement initiatives
- 5+ years of network engineering experience in enterprise environments
- Strong Layer 2/Layer 3 switching expertise, including VLANs, VRRP, MC-LAG, STP, VTP, PortChannel, OSPF, and BGP
- Hands-on experience developing network automation solutions using Python, Ansible, or similar scripting and automation frameworks
- Strong network design, configuration, and troubleshooting experience across enterprise network environments
- Experience with REST APIs and network programmability concepts
- Hands-on experience with major networking platforms such as Dell, Cisco, Arista, or Juniper
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and network security fundamentals
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Experience supporting both data center and campus network environments
- Experience with network orchestration and automated provisioning
- Experience conducting network vulnerability or security risk assessments
- Experience supporting change management, incident response, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Experience coordinating with third-party vendors and global network service providers
- Experience with capacity planning and enterprise network infrastructure optimization

- Contract Duration: 5 months
- Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $38.00 and $55.00 per hour. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
