DevOps Engineer II

Job Summary
Our client is seeking a DevOps Engineer II to support the platforms and infrastructure behind critical business applications. This is an early-career opportunity for someone with a strong technical foundation who is interested in growing their knowledge across Kubernetes, cloud technologies, deployments, monitoring, and production operations.

Core Responsibilities

• Support Kubernetes environments, including Pods, Deployments, Services, ConfigMaps, and Secrets
• Assist with container deployments and configurations using Docker and Helm
• Monitor platform health and troubleshoot issues using observability and logging tools
• Support CI/CD pipelines and Blue/Green deployments
• Analyze application and infrastructure logs to identify production issues
• Troubleshoot connectivity issues involving DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, TLS, load balancing, and databases
• Participate in production support, incident response, and issue resolution
• Create and maintain technical documentation and operational runbooks

Required Skills/Experience (Must-Haves)

• 1+ years of experience in DevOps, platform operations, cloud operations, systems administration, or infrastructure support
• Foundational knowledge of Kubernetes and container technologies such as Docker
• Experience working within Linux environments
• Familiarity with Git, source control, and CI/CD pipeline processes
• Understanding of networking fundamentals, including DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, TLS, and load balancing
• Experience analyzing logs and troubleshooting application or infrastructure issues
• Basic scripting experience with Bash, Python, or PowerShell

Preferred Skills/Experience (Nice-to-Haves)

• Experience deploying or configuring Helm charts
• Familiarity with GitLab, Harness, or Blue/Green deployments
• Basic experience with Terraform or another Infrastructure as Code tool
• Exposure to AWS or Google Cloud Platform
• Experience with Datadog APM, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, or AppDynamics
• Understanding of certificate management, IAM, and RBAC concepts
• Familiarity with Oracle, MongoDB, Redis, or PostgreSQL connectivity

Work Environment

• Location: Hybrid in St. Louis, MO

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $45.00 and $50.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
