Our client is seeking a DevOps Engineer II to support the platforms and infrastructure behind critical business applications. This is an early-career opportunity for someone with a strong technical foundation who is interested in growing their knowledge across Kubernetes, cloud technologies, deployments, monitoring, and production operations.
Core Responsibilities
- Support Kubernetes environments, including Pods, Deployments, Services, ConfigMaps, and Secrets
- Assist with container deployments and configurations using Docker and Helm
- Monitor platform health and troubleshoot issues using observability and logging tools
- Support CI/CD pipelines and Blue/Green deployments
- Analyze application and infrastructure logs to identify production issues
- Troubleshoot connectivity issues involving DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, TLS, load balancing, and databases
- Participate in production support, incident response, and issue resolution
- Create and maintain technical documentation and operational runbooks
- 1+ years of experience in DevOps, platform operations, cloud operations, systems administration, or infrastructure support
- Foundational knowledge of Kubernetes and container technologies such as Docker
- Experience working within Linux environments
- Familiarity with Git, source control, and CI/CD pipeline processes
- Understanding of networking fundamentals, including DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, TLS, and load balancing
- Experience analyzing logs and troubleshooting application or infrastructure issues
- Basic scripting experience with Bash, Python, or PowerShell
- Experience deploying or configuring Helm charts
- Familiarity with GitLab, Harness, or Blue/Green deployments
- Basic experience with Terraform or another Infrastructure as Code tool
- Exposure to AWS or Google Cloud Platform
- Experience with Datadog APM, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, or AppDynamics
- Understanding of certificate management, IAM, and RBAC concepts
- Familiarity with Oracle, MongoDB, Redis, or PostgreSQL connectivity
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to learn new technologies and expand technical knowledge
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work well with application, infrastructure, and engineering teams
- Curiosity and a willingness to ask questions when learning unfamiliar systems
- Ability to remain organized and responsive during production incidents
- Location: Hybrid in St. Louis, MO
- Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $45.00 and $50.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
