Our client is seeking a Materials Planner to join their team! This position is located in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Duties:
- Monitor part sparing levels, usage trends, and network allocations by collecting and analyzing operational and inventory data
- Create, track, and manage repair and exchange orders to support maintenance requirements
- Follow up with vendors to ensure on-time repair turnaround and resolve delivery, quality, or service issues
- Track and communicate the status of critical and material orders to internal stakeholders
- Support demand forecasting and buy-vs-repair evaluations through data analysis and reporting
- Maintain accurate part number records, inventory data, and system entries to ensure compliance and data integrity
- Assist in the preparation of Inventory Disservice Reports and other material performance summaries
- Contribute to the upkeep of planning tools, forecasting models, and dashboards used for material analysis
- Support inventory count activities, reconciliations, and system adjustments as required
- Analyze surplus, obsolete, or underperforming inventory in collaboration with material planners
- Coordinate with internal teams to gather technical, maintenance, and logistics inputs for planning and issue resolution
- Compile reports, metrics, and presentation materials for leadership and internal teams
- Provide administrative and analytical support for supply chain initiatives, system implementations, and special projects
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Inventory Control, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of relevant experience in materials planning, inventory management, or supply chain operations
- Strong analytical skills with experience using statistical and data analysis tools
- Demonstrated experience in spare parts forecasting and materials planning
- Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced use of spreadsheets, databases, and presentation tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Strong background in supply chain, materials planning, or inventory management
- Hands-on experience analyzing parts, supply levels, and allocations using ERP systems and physical inventory verification
- Backgrounds such as military logistics coordinators are highly applicable
