Our client is seeking an Agent Assistant to join their team! This position is located in New York, NY.
Duties:
- Review and monitor agent electronic communications, with a primary focus on social media content
- Apply risk-based criteria to assess communications, including enhanced review of image- and video-based posts
- Utilize internal systems, third-party vendor platforms, and AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) to support communications surveillance and analysis
- Run, analyze, and interpret electronic communications reports to identify trends, risks, and items requiring escalation
- Distinguish business vs. non-business communications and route business-related content for Registered Principal review
- Support additional supervisory and compliance functions, including fiduciary requests, email opt-out processes, and social media profile management
- Navigate multiple systems simultaneously while managing competing priorities and deadlines
- Collaborate closely with Compliance, Supervision, and other internal stakeholders
- Experience in the insurance and/or securities industry
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to review, interpret, and assess electronic communications
- Technically savvy, with familiarity using social media platforms and digital content
- Comfort learning and navigating new systems and tools
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate, ask questions, and speak up in meetings
- Ability to apply judgment in ambiguous situations while keeping regulatory intent in mind
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Comfort using ChatGPT or similar AI tools to support analysis and reporting
- FINRA Series 6 or 7, or insurance-related licenses/designations
- Knowledge of Life Insurance, Fixed and Variable Annuities, and Mutual Funds
