Job Summary:
Our client is seeking an Expeditor to join their team! The Expeditor plays a critical role in supporting customer commitments and production timelines by driving the timely delivery of materials, products, and services. This position works closely with suppliers and internal teams across purchasing, operations, logistics, and sales to monitor lead times, address delays, and maintain strong on-time delivery performance.
Duties:
The approximate pay range for this position is between $60,000 and $75,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.

The Expeditor plays a critical role in supporting customer commitments and production timelines by driving the timely delivery of materials, products, and services. This position works closely with suppliers and internal teams across purchasing, operations, logistics, and sales to monitor lead times, address delays, and maintain strong on-time delivery performance.
Duties:
- Review and track open purchase orders and supplier commitments to confirm materials arrive on schedule and meet agreed terms
- Maintain regular communication with suppliers to gather updates on order status, shipment timelines, and potential risks
- Prioritize and expedite urgent or high-impact orders to meet customer demands and operational needs
- Partner with Sales, Purchasing, Operations, and Logistics teams to resolve shortages, delays, and quality-related issues
- Update and maintain accurate order information within ERP and related systems
- Identify potential risks to delivery timelines and escalate concerns with proposed solutions
- Contribute to supplier performance tracking by documenting delivery trends and recurring issues
- Assist with logistics coordination, including freight planning and required documentation
- Keep detailed and organized records of expediting activities, communications, and delivery confirmations
- Follow company policies, safety standards, and all applicable regulations
- Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support overall operational goals
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 2+ years of experience in expediting, supply chain, purchasing, logistics, or a related field, ideally within an industrial or distribution setting
- Strong communication skills with consistent follow-up and the ability to work across teams and with external vendors
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working with ERP systems and Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Outlook, and Word
- Strong attention to detail with solid organizational skills
