Our client is seeking a Tax Analyst – Admin Support Clerk II to support Global Payroll Tax operations in a high-volume, controls-driven environment. This role focuses on ensuring payroll tax compliance across local, state, and federal regulations while maintaining accuracy in reporting, documentation, and financial reconciliations. The position plays a key role in supporting payroll tax operations, special projects, and merger & acquisition (M&A) activities within a fast-paced enterprise setting.
Core Responsibilities
- Manage bi-weekly creation, preparation, and validation of Executive Reports for on-cycle payroll processing
- Execute weekly tax operations reporting, ensuring accuracy across all validation outputs
- Monitor, reconcile, and resolve items within Return to Cash Logs and Tax Credit reporting
- Maintain and update Payroll Tax Desktop Procedures (DTPs) in collaboration with cross-functional team members
- Provide operational coverage during PTO, holidays, and flex time periods to ensure continuity
- Support M&A-related tax initiatives including historical tax data retention, tax account registration, and integration into master tax schedules
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory tax requirements
- Collaborate with Payroll, Tax, Finance, and external taxing authorities to support accurate reporting and issue resolution
- Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years of equivalent professional experience
- 3+ years of experience in multistate tax or large-scale payroll tax environments
- Strong ability to manage competing deadlines and prioritize high-volume deliverables
- Experience working both independently and within cross-functional teams
- Strong collaboration skills with payroll, tax, and external agencies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace (Docs, Slides)
- Experience in high-volume data validation, reporting, or compliance environments
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC)
- Experience with Workday, ADP, or PeopleSoft HCM systems
- Exposure to mergers and acquisitions (M&A) payroll/tax integration activities
- Familiarity with AI tools for data analysis, reporting, or workflow optimization
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and critical thinking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all organizational levels
- Self-starter with ability to work independently across multiple business units
- High attention to detail and accuracy in financial/tax data handling
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to operate in a deadline-driven, compliance-focused environment
- Problem-solving mindset with strong analytical reasoning
- Effective communicator and cross-functional collaborator
- Adaptability in fast-paced and changing operational conditions
- Accountability and ownership of deliverables
- Location: Lake Mary, FL (Onsite – Hybrid schedule: 3 days in office Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)
- Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (weekend work may be required during peak periods with notice)
- Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $20.00 and $28.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
