Senior Applications Engineer

Job Summary
Our Energy & Utilities client is seeking a Senior Applications Engineer to support the continued growth and evolution of our enterprise Field Service Management (FSM) platform. This role is heavily focused on enterprise application development, PL/SQL engineering, and system integrations supporting utility and telecom operations.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience designing and supporting complex enterprise applications, integrating multiple business systems, and building scalable solutions within GIS and FSM environments. This person will partner closely with operations, engineering, and IT leadership to enhance platform capabilities, automate workflows, and improve operational efficiency across the organization.

Core Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and support enterprise applications and integrations with a primary focus on Field Service Management (FSM), GIS, project accounting, and operational systems
• Engineer and maintain integrations between internal and external enterprise platforms across utility and telecom business operations
• Develop and support complex PL/SQL solutions, stored procedures, packages, and database-driven application functionality within Oracle environments
• Design and maintain integrations and services using technologies such as .NET, Python, JavaScript, APIs, and related enterprise integration tools
• Support GIS-related applications and integrations involving mapping, polygons, coordinate systems, and spatial data workflows
• Collaborate with business and technology teams to identify process gaps and implement scalable automation solutions
• Lead application enhancement initiatives tied to new platform capabilities, workflow automation, and operational efficiency improvements
• Partner with senior IT and business leadership to define system strategy, architecture direction, and long-term platform roadmap
• Translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable enterprise solutions aligned to operational and revenue-generating initiatives
• Create and maintain technical documentation, integration documentation, and support processes
• Evaluate, recommend, and implement new technologies and enterprise software solutions as business needs evolve
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers, analysts, and engineers
• Support production systems, troubleshoot complex integration issues, and drive resolution across interconnected platforms

Required Skills/Experience (Must-Haves)

• Strong PL/SQL development experience in enterprise Oracle environments
• Enterprise Integration 

Preferred Skills/Experience (Nice-to-Haves)

• Experience supporting or integrating with FSM and GIS platforms
• Background in enterprise application engineering and systems integration
• Experience working across multiple interconnected enterprise systems and APIs
• Utility, telecom, engineering, or field operations industry experience preferred
• Experience with .NET, Python, JavaScript, and SQL Server environments

Work Environment

• Location: Pacific, Missouri
• Hybrid schedule — 3 days onsite per week 

Compensation & Benefits 

• Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $65.00 and $77.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
